lol, its just annoying to keep deleting those emails. I don't read any of them nowadays, no matter who it is from, but the thing is that even if you unsubscribe, they keep coming !!

As a listbuilder I am on quite a few lists. Sometimes you pick up a few good pointers but you also see things that the competetion is doing that you learn to stay away from.

I have begun to find myself added to lists that I have not subscribed too. Now one or two I have kept with because they are doing a few things different. But I am hitting the unsubscribe daily.

Just have to remember there are good and bad marketers out there. The best way to get back on these is too not buy anything off of someone that gained access to your email in a fishy manner.

Many webmasters will allow people that you never heard of before to send their emails to you using their list for a small fee. This is also known as solo ads.

You always have the option not to open the emails yourself and take yourself off.

Again, if you don't like this type of marketing, take yourself off the list.

I have seen this sort of thing as well where you unsubscribe and the letters keep coming.

It seems as if you just have to separate email addresses for important mail, and email addresses that is for commercial people to reach you. That way you only have to look at advertising email when you decide to go to that special email address.

Then you drop them in your SPAM folder or if they have a legit autoresponder company, report them. Voila! Problem solved.

Absolutely, yes. Literally 100% of the time. I'd also wager it has an infinitely better success rate at curbing SPAM than someone starting a thread on a forum asking people not to send them emails.

I haven't had this experience at all, and have bought literally dozens of services and a handful of WSOs on the forum over the past few years from a variety of providers. It's really simple: If someone spams me, I hit the unsubscribe button. If there isn't one, they are categorized as SPAM, and their emails are automatically blocked or sent to my junk folder and reported.

It is remarkably simple, and again, much more effective than starting a thread on the Warrior Forum asking spammers not to spam.

I think a rule was brought in a while back that wso sellers could not pass on emails ? but i may be wrong / regardless probably many would, I am still swamped with people peddling my emails from this place, it is a nightmare in itself.

The best advice for any new people here was from somebody here who wrote about the problem was to use the vendors name or product name in the name slot, that way any spam can be tracked back to originator, also like mentioned create a g mail or even a new email for that product then just can the email if it starts throwing spam / use disposable emails.

I have had to deal with spam for a very long time.. I have found the best way is to have disposable E-mail addresses. It used to be a bit more difficult before free email providers, but now it is so easy.

I have a primary email that family, select friends and companies that send me bills have.

I have another email for any of the opt-in type websites

I have another 2 emails for my business, following the same format above.

I have a couple more for other reasons.

I then setup an email client to watch all of these addresses in one spot. When one gets to loaded with crap, I delete it, and start a new one.. Works great, I like Gmail too as you can mark them spam, and it will filter 90% of the crap mail out. Extends the life of an address a lot!

If someone is buying/selling your email address then you need to report them. It's illegal unless you have granted them permission to do so.

Wouldn't that would depend on how they got on the list? For example, if they opted in without reading a privacy policy or terms of service, it could very well be spelled out that you'll receive offers from 3rd party vendors or some such.

That's what I mean by 'unless they have granted permission to do so'. Their privacy policy must state that you are giving them the right to sell, trade, or share your contact details with others -- otherwise what they doing is not on.

Better yet stop buying WSO's. If you just read the forum you don't need to buy WSO's.

I make heavy use of filters (in conjunction with labels in Gmail), to the point where any email that is not handled by a filter/label automatically goes to the spam folder. When done properly, there are no problems.

Just be sure to create filters/labels for new contacts immediately. Waiting until later will result in lost emails, and/or trudging through a ton of spam to find that one contact you forgot to set up.

Act your own right, block email that send you a spam email.

For privacy, open new email for your pesonal matter and other email for subscribing IM newsletter.

Why is everyone just saying block them or unsubscribe or whatever? If a bank gets robbed does that mean we should all just turn a blind eye and then just tell each other not to go to banks again?

No, if they are doing something illegal then it should be dealt with accordingly. Turning a blind eye and letting these people get away with it only feeds the problem and makes it worse.

I totally agree with you that people don't like to get Emails by this stupid way, The best way try to ignore them and try never to open them because some of them trace if the email is opened or not and put all opened emails in another list and start to send another rubbish offers.

Stop signing up in nonsense sites including dating sites. If you notice, when you will sign up for one dating site, there will be advertisement coming for you from other sites. How they are getting your email address? Because a lot of dating sites sells the list of email to other sites.

I am not signing up for dating sites, I am signing up for sites which offer some information about social media advertising and offline marketing ebooks, and all of them are from the links I click here from the signatures of well known people.

I have unsubscribed N number of times to each emails I used to get. But it doesn't seem to stop, they keep coming, I have just kinda ignored that email account, but I get some important emails coming there too, so I have to open it.

As we speak, I just got another email pointing me to a WSO which was started almost a year ago.

disposable emails

I struggled with that for years, but very easy if you use disposable emails

opening any spam just verifies an opened email and will continue to breed new emails unless you actually know the person then it might be legitimate

then try to unsubscribe most times they are real

part of life when internet marketing took time to sink in

I just moved everyone important over to an email I give to no one other than the actual people I want to hear from, so far no one junk email to that address

a pain in the butt but a fact of life, no different than snail mail you can't stop it also

  Ok you are back to give your "quote of the day" but let me tell you, I specified this in this forum because I am not signing up for them in other places, but only in warrior forum, that too well known people here. Now I don't want to mention names, but it was just a way to tell them to stop doing what they are doing, coz it's really not helping their business at all.

Are you really ending up on other lists or just receiving solos. I have seen some guys who have been sharing your email when you enter it. Both names are mentioned so I guess that makes it ok.

Well, whether I am ending up on their list or not I have no idea, but all I know is I am getting a lot of junk emails from unknown people and whose products I am not even interested in. I see a lot of people saying here "the money is in your list" but sadly they are mistaken, and they guide people in the wrong way !
