Hey, i created a squeeze page for my site. Please check it out.
http://outstandingpoker.com
After you enter your name and email you are forwarded to http://outstandingpoker.com/steptwo.php

Can you give me your opinion of the squeeze page. Do i have the right idea? will it grab more optins / create more sales?

Also how can I increase sales for the site. Please review the site if you can.

That's a pretty awesome squeeze in my opinion. It's geared for people to sign up. I wouldn't muck about too much with that, I'm sure once you drive some traffic there you will convert.

    Thanks for the advice.
    I have a programing questions.
Anyone know how to setup a cookie or something so that once you enter your name and email in the optin you will never be sent back to that page?
You will just be forwarded to the sales page?

    Please get back to me.

That squeeze page looks awesome i like how all the benefits point to the opt in box encouraging a sign up. I think you will have a high opt in rate with that page!

What implications does this squeeze page have in affecting SEO. The sales page is heavily SEO'd.
Please get back to me on this.

One thing... the audio is crappy in that video. The background music is killing my speakers... You might want to fix that!

Other than that it's a good starting point to test.

Initially I just looked at the page and didn't watch the video. Completely agree with Mike that the audio on that vid is fairly brutal. Definitely want to look into that.

Your layout and visuals are good..
But your bullets and copy are entirely features, not benefits.. so I'd work on those.

I've had plenty of home pages with very little content (menu and footer, the rest all graphics) get very good rankings in google. As long as there are some links for google to find and crawl, you'll be fine. Just make them 'non-descript' so your visitors don't go clicking them. Of course, your off page seo needs done.

again, I think the copy itself is weak..

The beauty of being in a high traffic niche is that you can test instantly via ppc. Send 100 people to it in a day, see how many signups you get, and let them run through your follow-up email sequence and see how many sales you get. Make some changes, then reinvest those profits back into another burst of ppc traffic. This will also tell you which keywords are pointless to seo around since they do not convert to sales (NOT just sign-ups, they need to BUY).

This well let you get everything honed razor sharp.. leave the guesswork to the other 99.9% of the marketers

The overall approach looks solid. I didn't watch the video.

This item from page two should be on the initial squeeze page:
I quickly realized that watching pros play and listening to their in depth thought processes was the quickest and easiest way to become a winning poker player making hundreds of dollars a day.
If the video doesn't demonstrate that, then it should be replaced with a video that does demonstrate the expert's thought process.

"Members Login" as the very first thing on the page is a bit distracting.

Instead of just "secure and confidential," I'd expand out a full sentence about how your email won't be sold, etc. Should you also include a warning not to use your work email for the poker tips, because you might soon make enough money to not need your boss any more?

The punctuation in the Podcasts headline looks weird.

    Paving your Online Poker Foundation.
Sorry, I have absolutely no idea how to imagine that. A foundation is a nonprofit institute, paving means a cement truck brings sludge that will harden into a driveway. What does any of that have to do with poker?

    Page two:
    Full Length Training Videos
On page one, the video is a minute. So you need to explain what "full length" means.

The bullets look crammed together vertically.

What's included in the autoresponder series?

    Regards,
    Allen
