I recommend wiredtree, if you are looking for managed dedi or vps. Their support is very fast in responding to my support tickets. I switched to their competitors but at last, I turned back to them. They are just awesome.

I signed up with Into VPS and have been very happy. I've had to up the mem and CPU (not because of anything on their but too much traffic on my end) and it was painless.

It's very economical and their hosting is very fast and responsive. No downtime in the last 6months (yes, I monitor my hosting uptime).

Wait, what are the specs on your server you have now? What type of sites are you running? What are said sites requirements?

Just throwing different company names out there is not the best idea. Address the requirements first before choosing a company.

      ^^ This

If you can expand on your requirements you'd be able to get much better recommendations, there isn't really a one size fits all solution when it comes to servers, what works well for one person might not work well for you, it depends what you want to use it for.

The hosts mentioned so far wiredtree, future hosting, liquid web, are great companies but as Kingfish85 said define your requirements/needs so that you can find a better match than your current server.

Like stated, your requirements will make a difference but from my experience

Managed VPS Hosting - cPanel, OpenVZ, SolusVM, RAID 10 & more!--LiquiLayer Technologies - Web Hosting & Solutions

The are also active in the WF and that means something to me also.

I've had a dedicated server with Hostgator for about 2 years now, and I cannot fault them.

I've had one short server downtime in 2 years, and that's pretty impressive in my book.

And when I need it, I get support responses within the hour.

I've been with liquidweb for many years. Their customer support is superb. They also have a cloud service stormondemand.com which is what I am using now. I've had a few close calls over the years and their techs took care of the problems in no time.

I Use OVH.com for dedicated servers. If you don't need technical support, get servers from this company.

Another vote here for Liquid Web.

We have had dedicated servers with them since 2004 and both their systems and support are fantastic. No technical question or problem ever seems to floor them and I have asked a few crackers in my time.

    Cheers,

  • I know this thread was started a while ago, but figured I would mention we use cavecreek.net. Dedicated servers are great and we've had very little downtime over the years (minus a power and HD failure but since have created better redunancy). Service is B+, however our main sales rep is non-responsive these days. Overall I'd grade them with a B due to lack of response on a few billing issues, but in terms of speed/uptime, they are great.
