Any out of the box method to increase web traffic???

Hi

There are 10's of conventional methods to increase website traffic... seo, article marketing, linking, social media (this is new) etc. etc.

But has anyone tried any other out of box method which gave results?

If its not your trade secret please share

    Would you be able to provide an example of an "Out Of The Box" marketing tool? In many cases you don't need EVERYTHING, stick to what's working and test what's working then grow from there.

    If I had a marketing plan that involved everything in a box that gave me everything, I personally think I would give up due to migraines. This year I have decided to step down from many Marketing Paths and focus primarily on what I feel is most effective for me.

    But if you can give an example as to what you are referring too, I am sure that we can help give you some more insight

    Event Marketing but from the comfort of your home.

    Many underestimate the power of conferences and event traffic. These tend to have the most active tweet streams and they all list what the conference or event hashtag is - so you have access to the event even if you're not there. But that also means you have 1 - 1 access to the event participants through twitter.

    1. Identify the events that pertain to your niche i.e. Google search "Your Niche" + conferences

    2. Find the conference hashtag and note the date of the conference

    3. Add the event to your calendar

    4. During the event engage in the tweet stream using the hashtag - run a contest or giveaway.

    I did this for a conference in Denver (I live in the SF bay area) and I was able to get over 85 opt-ins in 48 hours.

    This is just one of the strategies in my WSO - get over 30 more like this that get you traffic and Cash! Enjoy!

    Here are a few traffic generation strategies that I use that most people ignore:

    1. Ebook Marketing: Create a quality ebook and submit it to high-traffic ebook directories like Download Free Ebooks, Legally

    2. Forum Marketing: Where else can you find a watering hole of people in your niche? But you can't just post willy nilly --you need to provide value to get traffic from forums.

    3. Slideshare: Another underrated traffic full of small business owners and internet marketers. This site has a 166 global Alexa...holy crap! These are good side dishes to your traffic generation main course. In my experience SEO is the best traffic you can get...it's people literally searching for what you're selling.

      This is good stuff - thanks for sharing - I have used some Slideshare marketing and it helps a little. Good responses on a lot of questions - glad to have you on the WF.

    Out of the box? If you want quick and fast traffic,you have to pay for it. You can start with PPV or link redirect traffic and scale from there. Invest some time into your landing page to boost conversions.

    I guess it's old school, but I spent $60 on eBay for some vinyl lettering for my car's back window about 2 years ago. My best guess is that $60 investment has generated over $4000 in business so far (I always ask where people found us).

    I notice many visits from mobile devices between 5 and 6 on weekdays. Then it struck me, people stuck in the traffic jam with me see the sign on the back of the car and bring up the url in the sign on their mobile
