Amazon has a free way to transfer money via email address

https://payments.amazon.com/sdui/sdui/personal/money

Pretty awesome! I would love to see this gain some traction. Just wanted to post this as a helpful way for everyone to transfer money with NO FEES!

Sure, any healthy competition for paypal would only be a good thing. As you
say, almost no on knows about it (first I've heard of it). Even Amazon itself
doesn't seem to be doing much to promote the service, but I wish they would.

Looks cool, especially the no fee part. Have you tried it?

Here's their FAQ page. Nice find.

Interesting - first time I have heard about this. Doesn't look as robust as Paypal etc. But I agree with TrustedCopy any competition is good and Amazon is obviously trusted.

    Thanks for the heads up!

    • That's terrific. Everyone seems to have an Amazon account. Like TrustedCopy and Intergen said, competition is good. When I get paid via Paypal, I just hate those fees!

I do use this, its very cool! You can fund the account with either a credit card or directly with a bank account, then you can even pay via text message! the only catch is you can only withdraw amounts higher than $10 not that that will ever be an issue. I highly recommend this!

Good news. First time I heard of this. Hope more merchants adopt this baby. Really sick and tired of Paypal

I was pretty much excited until I tried to register and saw this line: "Money transfer services are currently only available in the United States".
So they are useless for me until they become available worldwide.

I'm not really a fan of monopoly.

So, it's a welcomed idea especially coming from a mega source.

I'm really hoping Google Wallet takes over here. Should be good for both transferring $ and online sales.

Dwolla is also worth looking into for transferring money around. Very low fees

I've read about some users experience with Dwolla and I wasn't inspired to say the least..
It seems that they close accounts left and right and there is no way to get money from the balance or re-open account.
Try to search with Google or whatever you use.

Wow, I never knew about this. Thanks for posting!

Even with fees for a business transaction, it provides what looks like a great alternative to Paypal, in a world full of questionable companies. People trust Amazon.

Some of these paypal alternatives i never knew about, its good to have them

to be honest paypal have gotten alittle to big for their boots after all these years, they never charge the right amount when it comes to the currency exchange rate, always ripping me off and i am surprised its not noticed or talked about much

once when i called paypal on it they sent me a cheque for $20 for not giving me the correct exchange rate but i had to pay $20 in order to deposit the $20 into my bank account Lol that was pointless

but they're still doing it and getting away with it

fiverr has there own card now where you can spend the money you make on fiverr anywhere in the world with your fiverr card. more and more sites will follow suit in time and paypal will just become obsolete eventually ..which is a good thing

thanks for this thread, very insightful
