Really noob question...

So lets say that I finally got arround to activating akismet for WP, would that result in less traffic from google.... ie less spam comments? I went from 30-40 a day to none, but my traffic got hit hard too :confused::confused::confused:

    No, I am just saying, would it mean lower CTR from Google, or did I just loose random traffic....do bots have a way to tell this is on...?

    Basically...will this install result in lower traffic...I may have found my answer

      I run that plug in on my site and the traffic is fine. Ping your site often. Some WP has the ping feature all ready to do it as you post.

    Your traffic didn't take a hit your just only seeing real people no more bots. Its a good thing.

    It helps you to lower your CTR but Google may be ban you in future for so much spam traffic. Believe me, my friends adsense account is banned because of spam bot traffics. He has not got any clicks , just impressions.
