Ok..what am I doing wrong?

Soo... I set up a new lens on squidoo and I have been submitting my link to many different social networks like stumbleupon, yahoo answers, delicious, fitness blogs etc...I know I have submitted at least 20 manually. Its been about 5 days but it keeps saying I have no backlinks. Is there some magic potion I need to brew to get the backlinks to show up? This is my lens: RUSHFIT REVIEW - Read this BEFORE buying the program

Any backlink master advice is appreciated.

    What tool are you using, I have some tools that say my sites have 250 backlinks, some say I have 0, for a squidoo lense it is hard to tell. Additionally, it can take anywhere from a week or more for a backlink to be noticed by google, and that is IF you are indexed.

    I'm trying to be google friendly and just going to each website and plugging them in one by one. I put the link into the google search and it looks like it is indexed. I also did a few press releases and pinged it all over. Maybe its just a time thing but I thought at least one would show up by now.

    If you can see the links then you have them - stop worrying about how to auto-detect them and get busy building your business. There's no tool in the world that will show you every link you have.

      Hi Starfire,

      First give yourself a well deserved pat on the back - because you've actually taken action, something only about 3% of IMers ever do.

      I agree with Andy ...

      stop worrying about how to auto-detect them and get busy building your business.
      One of the hidden dangers with IM is becoming a 'Google Zombie' or a 'Backlinks Zombie', where we constantly check our position on Google and try and count our backlinks (impossible, anyway!).

      So that old expression: "A watched pot never boils" is good advice.

      So use the time you're spending worrying about the backlinks more productively and the backlinks - and the sales - will take care of themselves all the faster!

        Thanks for the encouragement! I really need it. There is a add on on squidoo called squid utils that helps you check the health of your lens and when I checked it it said CRITICAL you have 0 backlinks. So I started freaking out a bit since I know I posted the link all over the place. Hopefully they show up but I don't know if I was doing it wrong or what.
