Can you hire someone on Odesk to promote your affiliate link?

I know this question probably doesn't make any sense.

But can you actually hire someone on odesk to promote your affiliate link?

I know it probably doesn't make any sense because why would they do that when they can just do that for themselves and make money for them instead of you.

Well I ask because just like there are sooooo many wso's saying you can make X amount of money with their wso offer, then why would all of wso vendors offer such offer when they can keep quiet and make money for themselves also.

I guess the answer might be because they just want to make extra money in top of what they already know what to do, right? I mean that would be the only logical thing I can think of right now unless someone in here can tell me otherwise.

There are plenty of people on Odesk and other places like it that will promote your affiliate link.

I've done it before. You just have to create marketing plan you want to do, come up with the instructions on what you want them to do, and that's it.

Keep in mind that these people usually aren't marketers, they just want to get paid for specific jobs. So, it is important that you tell them exactly what to do and have a way to follow up and track what they are doing.

I don't know. For me, I would never hire someone to promote an affiliate link. You can never trust anyone to do this for you.

Instead of wasting your time looking for someone to promote your affiliate link, why not learn how to do this yourself.

There are a lot of great places online that you can use to promote just about anything.

You can use pay per click. You can write articles and have a resource box at the end. You can create videos and then upload them on YouTube. You can blog and get some free traffic. You can use solo ads. The list goes on and on.

The best thing you can do for yourself is to learn this skill of marketing online.

You can hire people to do pretty much anything for you on Odesk. Just make sure that they won't spam your link everywhere and get you banned.

So lets say you wanted to promote the truth abouts abs from clickbank.

What would you say to the person on Odesk or what would your project report look like for them to work on your project?

Please excuse the fact that neither of the two threads linked to below directly answers the questions you're asking, Ray ... but I still think you might find them really helpful: possibly they might prompt you to be asking slightly different questions, instead, and that could easily be a very good thing, because whatever the problem is, hiring someone from a freelancing site to promote your hoplink, to sell a product like that, really isn't the solution, and there are reasons for that.

Yeah this is just something that you got to do yourself. Sooner rather that later you assistant is going to get wind of what's going on and be replacing your affiliate links with their's or you will have taught them to make their own money and they quit on you leaving you back a square one.

►This system pulled in over 25,000 sales in 2013 right under your nose and you probably laughed at it. But while you were laughing we were laughing all the way to the bank. Some to the tune of 6 and 7 figures. This year 10 times...

If they knew how to promote high gravity, highly competitive Clickbank products in high competition niches like that they wouldn't be slumming on Odesk for $2 an hour :-)

Even if you had a plan, it's very hard to monitor this kind of job.

Be careful with the service providers you find at Odesk. I had horrible experiences there and the site didn't help me in any way. They don’t feel responsible for anything. I think that it would be better to look for warriors to do this job for you. You can hire a warrior to help you with your promotions, or learn how to do it yourself. Look for the Warriors for Hire section, under the Warrior Special Offers forum.

Yes, you can outsource that sort of work, but you shouldn't go and just say, promote my link, else you'll probably fail in a big way.

You need to put together a plan of all the steps involved, then give those steps over to the freelance person. You have to be very specific, so that there's no room for interpretation.

It's probably a good idea to give them a small task to do first, to see how they go with that, before going all out on something bigger.

The second part of your question - you probably already suspect the answer. The fact is that most people have either being doing this a long time, or have multiple sources of income, and a lot of experience. So, yes you can make that money, but it's not going to happen overnight. Study your craft, when you come across a stumbling block, research into courses, and find something that answers your questions...

One thing to remember is that some affiliate programs don't accept people from certain countries. You may be able to join their affiliate program that only accepts people in the US for example, but then outsource the work to people who can't join it.

I wouldn't use odesk, fiverr, etc to promote my affiliate links without knowing the traffic is targeted.

The best place to advertise is your own list.

Yeah you can outsource the work of promoting your affiliate link, but it's something that requires little work, and is something that you could do on your own. I would spend money to do this... YOU can do this. It's easy.
