Considering Publishing...should I?

I am not sure creating a website in such a saturated market is a good idea for your first try, particularly since you don't really know anything about the particulars. The best you will be doing is rewriting what you learn from others - while this isn't always bad, it will severly limit the value you can bring.

Building a long term business requires adding value and I am not sure you can do that in this niche if you have never traveled to Europe. I would recommend choosing a passion you are more knowlegable about so you can give your customers value.

I can't vouch for the course, although I've been to 6 or 7 countries in Europe. If you're super passionate about it, though, grab some books on different countries at the library and read up. IMHO that's the best way to learn about your subject matter short of actually going there, and by far the cheapest route, and if you're really into it, you should have no trouble.

Plus you'll get more knowledge about what you're already very interested in, which can never hurt. Reading books on a topic is much more holistic than trying to create a framework for what you're going to write and then fill it in, and it's much more natural. I've always had the feeling that readers can tell when someone really knows the ins and outs and is interested in something and when they're just doing it because they have to.

I was not expecting instant success with such a large project . This is a big thing that would take money months, or longer, before I started seeing decent income (if any at all! )

The market may be saturated and you not knowing much about Europe does make it tough, however, I think you could still make a killing from it. SEO is pretty much out of the question, but you said " I love everything about it when I see it" so I'm assuming you "love" looking at pictures or maybe reading articles? Well if that's so congrats you just find your business plan.

This is what I would do:
-Start a blog & since I don't know much about Europe I would find syndicate content to post on my site. (Get this from Artilce Directories or ask other blog owners)
-Find/Hire a photographer to take some awesome unique pictures and put them up on FB & Pinterist with a link to your blog
-Use FB to also promote your articles that you found to drive traffic to the blog
-Promote videos of Europe or "to do" things that's almost like a 360 tour on Youtube and other video sites w/ a link to your blog of course.

These 3 methods allow you to go "viral" and also use unique content that if you found enjoyable, others should as well. After a while you should have a nice consistent amount of traffic to your blog where you can have CPA offers for travel leads, Google Adsense, or any other options you choose for monetizing.

Hopefully this gives you an idea of how you can turn your passion into a business

Not knowing about the niche really doesn't matter a jot if you are passionate about it because you can learn and write as you go.

Don't let people put you off Adsense either. Just because they might not be able to make it pay doesn't mean you can't. I have a large content site with thousands of pages and make a healthy chunk of change with Adsense.

Thanks sciguy, perhaps I should have been more specific in my OP...but I do not want to solely use Adsense to monetize a site. I hear all the time on these forums: "Don't put all your eggs in one basket", so it would be foolish of me to put in so much work into a site only to have my main source of income (being Adsense in this case) vanish if the big G decides to ban my account. There's plenty of products on CB, CPA offers for travel out there I'm sure, oh and I can't forget e-mail marketing! I'm not sure where I can find a good amount of offers to promote like this (short of creating my own), but hopefully I can find some!
