Am I Allowed To Monetize Youtube Videos Showing Others Websites?

I've read the TOS of youtube and adsense but still unclear on this. Let's say I'm doing a review of Plenty Of Fish dating website for example. Can I vide my computer screen showing me showing off the different features, how to search, etc? Or is that considered using copyrighted content?

Also, are websites the same as programs or software? I recently found Glary Utilities and wanted to make a video showing how to downlaod the program from cnet, how to use the one click cleanup vs the different modules. Can I show me using the program and monteize the video?

I don't want to say 100% that you should do this on my advice (who does, right?) but from my experience i'd say that you'll be fine to do anything like that, just video screen shots, I've seen it done on loads of other sites and as long as your not at any point claiming it's yours, making bogus claims etc. then you should be fine.

With regards to the software, again i'd say that your fine here, but stick to the same lines.

I think your safest bet if your still worried about whether to do it or not then you should contact the sites that you wish to use and ask them if it's OK. With their written permission you really can't go to far wrong :-)

I hope that this helps to answer your question and good luck with it!

    Kind regards,

I have found plenty of YT channels doing similar videos to what you think of and they seem to be doing well and being popular too. I guess there is no harm as long as you aren't giving away anything that is membership restricted content area (like a sneak peek screen shot of a member area) and therefore should not be made available outside of it.
