SMS contact ideas?

INTERNET MARKETING

I am sure that everyone is currently using a contact form somewhere in their marketing. This would be with Aweber or one of the other email providers. Building an email list is always a good way to get started in internet marketing no matter what niche is targeted, but we also know that email is dwindling in its effectiveness.

I am wondering if anyone is currently asking for cell phone information to build an SMS (text messaging) contact list? If so, I would love to see some examples of how that is done. It strikes me that simply asking for a phone number would be too much of a RED FLAG as visitors might think that they would be receiving unwanted telephone solicitations

So I am wondering what the best way would be to request the phone contact information in such a way that they understood that no one will call, they will simply be getting SMS updates on products or services that they may be interested in.

How would you work this for all the different countries that respond?
An email will be sent to any country from any country easily but a phone number would need a country code.

Another point is how would you montise this as you couldnt really put an affiliate link in a text message.

Be interested to hear thoughts or solutions to this.

Below the optin form mention that the they will get SMS updates regarding products or service of their interest. I think this will pretty much do the job.
