Need Some Help

So I've been online for about 3 years now. Never making any substantial amount of money at anything.
I would like to create a real business online where I can truly enjoy what I'm doing day in and day out. Yes, I know creating a blog and maintaining it is a job in itself but hear me out.
I'm having a problem focusing in on what my real passion is. I would like to create a site on my passion and share what I know with others, the problem is, I can't put my finger on exactly what that is.
If you guys could give me your opinion based on the interests that are below, it would be greatly appreciated.

Interests:
  1. 1.What other bloggers are doing online
  2. 2.How to market products, physical and online
  3. 3.Coming up with Business ideas
  4. 4.Helping others
  5. 5.How to make money online
  6. 6.I love hearing about how others have made it online, their Journey.
  7. 7.Watching video interviews like Trent Dyrsmid or Mike from Maine does.
  8. 8.Listening to Podcasts related to blogging and internet marketing

Here's my self diagnoised problems:
  1. 1. Staying focused on one thing
  2. 2. Giving up when things get hard or can't figure it out quickly
  3. 3. Don't know what to do with the information that I gather

So if you have any suggestions for me, that would be great.
I'm not looking for the magic pill, I understand the hard work involved, but it's not work to me, if I'm enjoying what I'm doing.
Or if you know of any good coaches or programs that will help me find my way(I don't mind paying for good info), please let me know.

  • I suggest you get a coach/mentor. That way you will have someone to work with and that will also hold you responsible for taking action.

    • There are several coaching WSOs. I would suggest you go have a look at some of those and see what you think.

It appears that your interests are confined to business/make money online topics. Don't you have any hobbies or interests outside of making money online? It's a highly saturated market filled with the top dogs and millions of wannabes. You're just going to make it a lot harder on yourself by focusing on that market when you actually have no experience in making money online.

  • You "interests" aren't really interests or niches in themselves. Those are your learning tools. It's hard to see how you could turn that into a niche right now, as you don't have the skills/experience to write in depth reviews telling your audience which work and why, or which don't work and why.

However, keep notes of what you are reading, watching, using, doing in case they are useful for the future.

Don't you have any interests in the "real" world? Are you a father, husband, boy friend, son, gardener, painter, football fan, weight watcher? Do you have any hobbies or health conditions? Does anyone in your family have a special talent or specific challenge? Are you a nerd, historian, archaeologist? What do you do for a job offline? Do your friends or family have any specific needs or wants that aren't met online?

You get the idea. Find a product or service that interests you. Take a look at Clickbank, Amazon, Ebay, Ejunkie, JVzoo - see if you can find a product somewhere that makes you curious or you think you know something about or would be interested to know something about.

You won't necessarily get it right first time. But you need to get started somewhere. You'll start to learn what interests you and what doesn't. You'll change and move on, but you'll be learning as you go.

    • I think that you need a mentor to guide you. This will help you to save time and get the best out of your efforts.
  • If you had read a lot on your stated 'interests', you would know your 'self-diagnoised problems' need banishing first. Good that you are able to detect your shortcomings, now work on them. For which ofcourse you need a single headed plan and single minded focus to see it through.
  • Thanks everyone for the inputs. I am actively seeking out a mentor as we speak. I have contacted one potential mentor already and things look good.
Another question for everyone, what was your path that took you to where you are today? What struggles did you have that you overcame?
I think learning from what others have did can give you a little guidance on where you want to go.
  • find a good mentor and one really good advice for you -
what ever you learn try to implement it.
