Best Way To Promote Blog?

INTERNET MARKETING

Warriors:

I've been slowly building my blog in the personal development niche. High quality content, vids, etc.

In the next week or so, I want to start sending traffic to it via an opt-in page and free video to build my list.

Opinions about best way to initially promote? FB? Adwords? Media Buys?

Thanks for any and all advice...

  I'm okay with Bing, FB ads...not so great with Adwords or Media buys...also can do article stuff, but want to ramp things up a bit quicker...

  Then start with Bing and Face book. Once you have some initial cash and confidence .. go to media buys.

  I honestly don't know as I tend to stick with media buys because that is what I know for paid traffic.
  
  Honestly most of my traffic comes from affiliates.

I would say Adwords, Bing Ads, and some solo ads. And back this up with alot of daily free marketing. Also post on your blog once day, and ping the search engine services (ex: pingomatic).

I'm a little confused, I typically use my blog as traffic magnet and send traffic from my blog to an opt-in form or to a money page - you are doing the opposite?

one of the most successful bloggers out there is JohnChow on his homepage, you can download his free ebook, The Ultimate Blog Profit Model.

I havent read it as I'm not a blogger however, its totally free and I'm sure it will have some great tips in it.

I take the side of "slow as she goes"...

I'd go after hard to get joint-ventures, low-tier to medium tier search engine listings and initiate a social media campaign.

In fact, start right here with offering pieces of your high quality content in a trailer type presentation that is intended to generate interest and curiosity.

Adwords, FB Ads, etc., all work too. Be sure you track, measure and adjust. Be a pro about it, no set it and forget it noob marketing with paid ads.

I have had great success doing the exact same thing with personal development blog but with a facebook fan page that builds up quickly and then sends traffic to the blog.
