How I get a free copy of ant product I promote

it is important when promoting a product you know what your talking about, so If I am going to promote a product I make sure I get a copy..

here is how I get them for free, I made a video resume of any product I have ever promoted, in the video I log into my affiliate accounts, and show my ability to convert products at the price range the product is selling for.

I show my traffic and conversion stats, and also my high google ranks, also I log into my getresponse account and show them how big my list's are in various niches,

I call it my video resume, you wouldnt try to land any client, or business partner in any business without your credentials in hand,,

once they know you are serious about promoting there product, and builing a long and profitable relationship, they will bend over backwards to get you to promote their product, if they see you can sale a lot of their stuff.

track all of your campaigns, and show people your the boss

    I would still buy it.

I am no cheapskate. If a product has value then surely it has value to me. But then I only promote in niches I am involved

I don't think this is a very smart approach and the insult implied isn't really called for, either.

Insult aside, though- there are two good reasons to do something like the OP is suggesting.

The first is that if the product is not one you would promote, and in fact you would return it, you have saved the merchant and yourself the hassle of the return process.

On the other hand, if it is a good product you are proving to the merchant that you are an affiliate worthy of special consideration and that is going to end up making both of you more money if you work together to sell the product- significantly more than the amount of any single sale- which is in both parties' ultimate best interests.

I promote a lot of products, I will not promote some crap product, my focus is to help product owners make money,,

If I buy there product and it is crap then I have to go through the process of getting my money back, the amount of products I promote, I would have to return a good amount of them, then I would be labeled as a serial refunder, which is not the case

I just wont promote crap products, congrats on not being a cheapskate, what were you trying to imply?

I don't think there is anything wrong with asking for review copies, but I usually only do so after I have a site up and running and am ready to roll. It shows I'm serious about promoting the product. Sometimes they say no...I'll usually just find another product to promote.

Let's face it. It's in the best interests of the product owner to give
affiliates a review copy. Some affiliate managers automatically send
you a free copy so you CAN review it and do a good job of promoting
          it.

While your approach is commendable, it seems like an awful lot of
work just to get a review copy. Why not just ask? I've never been
          turned down.

As Nathan says, of course you must show that you are a serious
marketer by having your own site, at the very least, before you do
          ask.

I keep a video resume, so I can get down on products that other affiliates cant promote, jv invite only, I guess that is what sets apart successful affiliates and the 97% failure rate

I wish more affiliates would do this...

I get asked for a review copy of Launch Formula marketing all the time, I use to give one, but i got burnt by people making promises they never kept... Now its by invite only

Unlesss you can prove beyond a shadow of doubt your serious about selling it.

If I want a super affiliate i go after them, not by giving them a review copy but by promoting the crap out of their product first. They usually coming knocking on my door then to reciprocate.

exactly, finally someone who gets it.. I show people that I am serious about my business, then promote their product if it is good,

If I have to take a little time to screen cam each of my campaigns it is worth it to be able to promote jv invite products that have $1,000 dollar commissions other than just 20 dollars here and 20 dollars there

There are many benefits to buying any product you want to promote:

    1. You can test their customer service support.

    2. You can observe their back end follow up messages and products - which may inspire you to enter the market as a merchant yourself.

I'd say getting a review copy of a product you are considering to promote is important, and the video resume sounds like a great way to add credibility for yourself.

It is a mistake to promote something that you haven't reviewed, or even seen. Buying it yourself to find it is junk only creates more problems for everyone.

After all the purpose to get the item is to review it and it's a good chance that the item is something that you wouldn't normally buy/use, so a free review copy makes sense.

Of course, once you have reviewed the item, if you like the item and it is something you actually want to keep and use, then you are free to pay for one at that time.

Sounds interesting and rather good for promotion.

I am wondering if that will work with physical product? I am terrible with presentation or doing up sale pages, so thinking how can I do a video resume to promote physical product. Is that possible?
