To get started on CPA, I suggest you take a look at Kenster's CPA Money Madness ebook. It's extremely detailed and full of practical offline and online CPA marketing methods. It's free if you're a full warrior member. You might have to pay for it otherwise.

  hi guy, at first i want you to bear it mind that internet marketing is not a get rich quick scheme, i mean a place where you get over night success, if you really want to succeed, you will need to think on long term basis. Concerning the CPA, to best of my knowledge you will need to include paid traffic in to your campaign in order to succeed , which will require you some spending budget at least. In order not to waste your time if yo really want to learn about CPA, i have two to places i can boldly recommend which are AFF Playbook - Winning Tactics for PPV, PPC, Media Buys and Social Marketing and StackThatMoney - The Affiliate Marketing Source, yo can choose any of the two and honestly they worth their investment.

Going into the CPA with no knowledge is a high risk.

The main reason is because you will have more bad campaigns than good campaigns and after a few ones you will not spend enough time to understand what is profitable and what is not.
You should start from the basics and you should start working with wordpress, get the feeling of it and start creating a website and get used with the work-space.

Going into the cpa marketing without any knowledge on how to create funnels, landing pages and squeeze pages will result in a negative ROI (return on investment) and very few campaigns are profitable without a landing pages or funnels.

I tested it on my own skin and believe me, it's not easy to break in

I have a good knowledge of wordpress and web work, a friend of mine and I work together doing web design. I generally don't code, but learning basic stuff is not an issue.

From my understanding, a landing page is where your CPA offers are listed, and a funnel is the page sending you there?

Sorry if it's wrong, I just started skimming the Rags to Riches guide at work...I'm having it printed now to take home with me for highlighting.

I'm reading your ebook right now, it actually cleared a whole lot up, and I'm already thinking up ideas in my head!

Incredible work, very awesome work!

Over the next week I'm going to secure a decent funding source. I already have a host, and buying domains and setting up some websites isn't too big of an issue. I've literally printed your book on good stock paper in full color and got it binded. It's going to be my CPA bible from here on hah.

I'll definitely look into the War Room. I wish this forum had an "upgrade price", I signed up for the regular membership thinking that I wouldn't need the full membership, and I'm $10 in the hole

Are there any other ideas? Other than CPA?

I need to do all the research I can and be able to recite it in my head, but I'm definitely feeling much more motivated now.

Here's a small tip for you...

The Warrior Forum is filled with great info and helpful people and everything you need to get started is right here, yet the info is all over the shop (all over the forum) and isn't always easy to find.

The simple way I hunt around for info within the Warrior Forum that might help me is to use Google to search the forum instead of the forum's search facility.

I go to Google and type the following:

site:warriorforum.com insert keyword

So say I needed info on CPA, I would type the following into Google...

site:warriorforum.com best cpa course

or

site:warriorforum.com "best cpa course"

As I said, only a little tip, yet it helps me greatly in finding info that I'm interested in.

Yes, unfortunately most of the big CPAers don't do coaching

Do as almost every successful CPAer does and start plugging away yourself. Work harder than everybody else and want it more!

I've spend the past few days researching methods of obtaining traffic and monitoring niches... I'm just getting lost with it all.

I'm eager to get started, I just can't take too many losses in the financial department at the moment. I've been looking into free traffic through blogs and social media, creating a network of blogs and offering ad space, etc.

Your book is now literally highlighted in three different colors, all the points I believe I can use. I really just need someone to help me get started, or to push me into it. I have ideas, but I'm lost when it comes to implementing and monetizing them.

Yes I hear you. But remember that most successful CPAers started exactly where you are, so use that as motivation.

I remember when I first started, I was so confused, lost and the mental demons creep up every doubt feeding you doubt and busting your confidence.

But it's that difficulty, that suffering that really defines who makes it in this space. Those who are strong enough to push along and find ways to make things work are those that see results and move on to big things.

I see it like a coming of age obstacle. Those initial struggles really separate those marketers who want it bad enough and those just looking for the good life without putting in their dues.

I'm not saying you can't or shouldn't find a coach, just saying that the struggles are part of the journey and it's best to understand that they are part of the journey (so as to use them as motivation).

You are, well, THE guru...lol.

Not trying to be a jerk, but any of them! The most important thing when first starting is just DOING. You don't have to be doing the best thing or even the right thing, just getting in the habit of doing and taking action.

If you are always doing and moving forward (making mistakes is the best way to move forward) than you will be getting closer and closer to success. Things will start making more sense and working itself out.

So I wouldn't worry about the best tactic or method at this point, just pick anything and get busy!

I would stop right now. This isn't going to work out well for you in the near future. Why?

First you will lose money on every campaign at first. After a few hundred down the drain (if you are lucky and not a few thousand) you will finally get a win. When you finally get a winning campaign, you won't have the money to throttle it. Lets say you could spend $10 today and get $15 back... that's pretty good! Unfortunately you probably wont get the actual cash in your account for 45 days... (payment sent, clearing bank account, late payoutes etc) so do you have the money to spend $10 a day for 45 days? If so great, you will have made $150 profit per month (which is nothing compared to the risk involved) so that $150 will get reinvested into sending more traffic the next month. So you continue this for a few months and finally you are ready to take a paycheck for yourself, but guess what? The offer gets pulled! So now you need that extra to fail at more campaigns to get another win. Yup, so now start over again!

So how do people do well at affiliate marketing? Once your learning curve is there, your fails to win ratio will be like 6:1 instead of 50:1 like where you probably are going to start. So everyone needs to start failing to be a successful affiliate marketer. But the key difference is when you get the win, you need to blow out traffic like crazy. Sure some offers are around for a long time but many disappear or get payout reductions that get rid of your profit margin.

In all reality, you will not make money any time soon and will probably spend a lot of money. It is expensive to learn how to do this with trial and error being the main cost. No amount of ebooks or mentoring will remove that cost. Even experts fail at campaigns more than they find winners. Thats how it works.

I would focus on your IRL jobs at the moment but keep learning, one day you will be in a position to do this.

I'm 22, I have a fair working knowledge of keywords, considering I use them often to promote my pages and sell my stock photography. As for IM, I'm clueless, I'm new.

I've seen claims of people making thousands a day. I know it's possible, but I'm honestly not even aiming that high. I just want to see some kind of profit, something, and I know it won't happen overnight.

My fiancee and I are probably going to be getting into this business together in hopes to earn some extra income to pay our outstanding bills. My funds are limited. I'm not only a student, but I'm so far in debt for my camera equipment that you wouldn't imagine. It's a personal detail, but I'm not afraid to admit it.

Can a kind soul point my fiancee and I in the correct direction to get started with this? Good learning resources for new people? Tips from you guys?

I really don't have much to shell out on expensive programs and expensive advertisements, but I'm looking at this opportunity as a little bit of hope to bring the two of us from living painfully to even somewhat comfortably. She's a student as well, and her job just isn't paying enough for us to keep up.

I don't have wild and crazy dreams, no high expectations, but I really just want to see some success, even if it's a little bit.

I appreciate any and all advice you guys give me, and I know that subscribing to this forum will help me get to where I want to be.

Alright so, two places I would work with.

1) CPA, as you seem really interested in that.
2) Photography.

Steps I'd Take for CPA:

1) Apply to as many CPA networks as you can.
2) Select offers that you like.
3) Get a promotion system. Plenty of solid WSOs for this, but I'd hit the War Room instead. It's worth it and there are plenty of awesome guides in there on just about everything under the sun, rather than just a single WSO.
4) More of a tip, see if you can use Fiverr, or even OneDollarr for promotion.

There are a vast number of ways to promote your offers, (some people get a strong edge and make a statistical killing with PPC for example), so find which one works for you, then stick with it and drive everything there.

Steps I'd Take for Photography:

1) Sign up to a number of sites that let you publish your own photos. I have 3 or 4 friends that have done very well off of this.
2) Find what sells by looking at the popularity of images on the site. Both the specific types of photos, and the styles that the top ones in those types use.
3) Take the top type of pictures in the top style/format and publish them to all of the sites you've signed up to, and tag them well.

---- Article Writing ----

Another thing you could do is write articles about photography to promote products. If you're good you could do a solid number on EzineArticles and some other top article sites as a legitimate expert on the subject, and drive solid traffic to a site promoting both your own content and affiliate products and make a pretty penny off of it.

Alternatively, you could create a site with articles on photography (that you promote in your articles), and utilize Amazon's program to sell photography related equipment and tools.

I'm in the process of looking up some CPA agencies. Kenster's book laid out tons of them and his "top" agencies, so I guess I'll browse through those.

PPC was my first idea, considering it's paid traffic, assuming the ad gets approved. I'd also like to take advantage of social media to push my CPA offers somehow, but I'm thinking all of this is in the War Room.

Photography:

I'm on a bunch of stock photo sites right now. They work best during holiday times, season transitions, etc. Unfortunately, just not well enough. The stock market is so crowded and competitive that it's becoming tough for anyone to make it big on there. I think going through my libraries and re-tagging my images wold be a start.

Writing:
That's an awesome, awesome idea. I didn't think of it. I'm going to start out on a series of photo articles after creating a blog of some sort that is photography/imaging oriented, then get some related CPA offers on there. Great plan!

I'm not so sure about selling photo equipment, as I don't really stock them. Dropshipping maybe? You do mean Amazon Affiliate right?

Yes, not stocking -- via the Amazon Associates program you can promote ads for Amazon products at the same time as providing content. You do no work, just make money.

Hi Aakaash,

Why don't you use your knowledge about camera equipment?

There are many people interested in photography and not all
of them know all there is to know about cameras and equipment.

You could put together courses on that topic and then sell those.
For sure less competitive than internet marketing and you
would have a clear advantage in that market.

This was something I definitely considered, and something I probably will do. The photography niche doesn't seem to have a huge amount of competition as far as learning/lessons go. I plan to release a blog that details out small tutorials daily/every other day. Ultimately, I plan on releasing an ebook (and maybe even a physical book) on certain topics, most likely along the lines of "how to go from noob to pro".

SilentEcho13, as one guru has it fail fast. Just be prepared to make mistakes and don't dwell on them. Sure that sounds very common-place but that's how we all do it. The one thing I'll tell you usefully: the skills you use to tell the good from the not-too-trusty in everyday life work on the internet too.Study the exact parallels and it'll take you far. However vague that sounds believe me it will help you when you study it out.

After ready yr thread it appears as though yr hellbent on CPAs. Well don't be, a few people have suggested that you step back and learn to build a sales funnel first and then branch out to CPAs. The truth is most good cpa networks want you to have a well travelled website. And they will not allow you to send anyone directly to te creative; you must have a website. I have a host of FREE videos on my site, although it is mainly for FB marketers, I do have a tab on the Menu Bar that leads to many good videos that will help you alot. You don't need to buy anything or signup for a membership it's there for the viewing. Good luck fellow marketer.
