Reading this may change your whole outlook on Internet Marketing
Now, think to yourself... What are you? Are you a worker? Or... Are you an entrepreneur?
Now that you have that thought in your head let me describe the two to you. At least what I think the two terms mean.
Worker - You have found something that makes you a little money and you continue doing that repeatedly making a fairly decent amount of money. You have found something that makes you $100 a day online so you can quit your day job. You average 20-30k a year and you are happy with that.
Entrepreneur - You have found a way to make money, but you want to turn that in to a business. You have the vision of making a 6 figure salary. You continue to change everything up in hopes of making more money.
So those are just my thoughts on the two terms, but let me explain why you need to figure out what you are. Not everyone has the mindset of an entrepreneur. If you can not take a lot of stress and do not want to work long days (sometimes 12+ hours each day for consecutive days!) then you are more than likely not fit to be an entrepreneur. It is important to figure out what you are because if you are just a worker it is much more important for you to stop being lazy and go get a real job. Yes, you may be able to work online and make what you would be making at a regular job, but you are missing out on all of the benefits. If you have a regular job in the corporate world your current 20-30k a year job will eventually build you up to a 50-100k a year job. If you are just continuously doing what you do online to make that 20-30k a year you will not be getting raises. You will be stuck at that income for a while.
So how do you become an entrepreneur?
First ask yourself, how can I make money to support myself?
Let's be realistic, we do not only want to support ourselves... We want to be wealthy... We want to support ourselves, then be able to go on vacation, buy an awesome car, or have some crazy hobby. So how do we get to that point?
The truth is this, if you want to be wealthy, you have to exploit those that are not. Can you do that? To be wealthy as an entrepreneur you need to have multiple people that are supporting themselves, but also giving money back to you so that you can support you, your hobby, and your Ferrari.
So maybe you already have a way of supporting yourself. Maybe you are making $150 a day. So if you could get 5 people to "work" for you and do what you are doing how much could you give them and still support yourself? Well if they each gave you $30 and kept $120 you are making $150. Wow, you managed 5 people and made more than they did.
How much money do you want to make in a year to be "wealthy"?
The number of "trading days" in a year is 252. Essentially that is how many days an average person works in a year. So if you want to make $300,000 a year you would need to make roughly $1200 a day. $300,000 a year would average you $200,000 a year after taxes.
So lets say you found a way to make $150 a day selling items online. How long would it take you to save up for 10 $200 desktops? You do not need anything too fancy, so could you save $2000 in a month or so? So now you have 10 desktops set up. Could you put an ad on craigslist and hire 10 people to do the same thing you are doing? Maybe change it up a bit. But if you pay them $10 an hour to make you $150 a day you are averaging $70 profit per day per person. So that's $700 profit per day. Save up and double the people once again and you will be making $1400 a day.
Wow, I just took the $150 a day to $1400 a day and I am still giving people a $10 / hour job.
Obviously this is just an example, but hopefully this can be food for thought and can get you moving to the next step in your life!
