32 Bit Windows 7 Outdated?
So i'm not a techie guy or anything like that but my friend is building me a PC from scratch and today I went to pick up the operating system. I chose windows 7 instead of 8 because I don't want to deal with the bugs and can upgrade at anytime...
So I get to the store and pick up the OEM version and the guy says no refunds so I'm like okay that makes sense and then head home. I get in touch with my buddy later and head over to his place and he starts freaking out because I got 32-bit instead of 64-bit...
This is news to me. I had no clue there was a difference but he told me that 32 bit can only use 4gb of ram and I have 8gb...
Basically I'm wondering does anyone have any suggestions for me? I don't want to go out and spend another $150 on an operating system unless I have to. What are the limitations to using the 32 bit copy?
Should I go out and buy the 64-bit copy?
I'd appreciate some advice here.
Cheers
