Newbie Amazon Associates Questions..

I'm rather experienced in IM but I'm yet to try Amazon Affiliates. I have a good sense on how to build a site and SEO etc.. My question however is this; if I wanted to create a single niche site to aim at one product, what would I name the domain? This is one of the single reasons why I've been holding back, I haven't got a clue what to name it. Let's say for example, I was trying to get affiliate sales for an iPhone 5. Would I name the domain buyiPhone5.com, getiphone5.com, and so on -- what would I do?

A domain for only a product? Why don't you just create tons of product reviews? For example phonereviews.com

A product review domain will help you for developing your site.
You may take iphone5reviews.com or which is available related to the product.

Due diligence on keyword research would help you figure out a proper domain name.

If your budget is tight, I suggest you buy one domain name and start a blogging with Wordpress's software. Each blogpost is revewing a product of Amazon.com and get backlinks.

himanuzo, did you suggest to buy a doman name such as allproductreviews.com and then post review of unrelated products, or buy a domain name such as pumpreviews.com and then post review on related products?

It's better not to put trademarked name like "iPhone" in your domain, because you might getting trouble with some unexpected lawsuits from the company itself...

Well, there are many other keywords around that you can choose, such as "Cellphones for sale", "Buy cheap cellphone" etc.

I would go away from thinking shortterm and getting exact match domains. Focus on building one big authority site and name it phonehouse.com for example. Then go and build a brand for the term Phonehouse!

Well, the names that you are thinking about are great, but long tail keywords tend to rank faster as they have little competition in most cases. For instance, iphone5cases.com is more target than just buyiphone5.com. However, you need to get backlinks to rank well for a keyword and SENuke and AMR alogn with TextLinkAds will help you.

It doesn't make any difference, in that case. Both domain-names are breaches of trademark (and the trademark is owned by a particularly litigous company, notorious for protecting their legal rights!), so neither is safe to use.

Why just build a site promoting a single product? It would seem that a site like this would be extremely thin and not very appealing to Google; maybe you should target a niche and build a larger authority site with more unique content.
