The truth about solo ads...
Let me start by saying this: I have never bought a solo ad, and I may never.
I participate in 2 list building groups on Facebook where most of the members are using solo ads to build their lists.
When I post a screen shot of my Aweber stats they all go slack-jawed and bug-eyed, "OMG how do you get those open rates, how do you get those CTRs?"
My answer: I don't use solo ads to build my list, AND I strictly use double opt-ins.
Why would you want subscribers that are already on dozens of other lists?
Do you want a list of 500 with a 65% open rate, or a list of 2000 with a 15% open rate?
Getting that list of 2000 using solo ads cost you hundreds of dollars, while my list of 500 was built from free traffic.
Someone, please defend solo ads. Sure they're fast, but are you in a big hurry to build a low quality list?
