Being a Clickbank Vendor... Do Affiliates Join?

I've used ShareaSale for the past year and we've had NO sign-ups from the ShareaSale community, only spammy Coupon links - barely any solid affiliates come to our door even with paid promotions.

I'm now looking into Clickbank, even though our price range (250-500$) is a bit high, it seems that ClickBank has a LOT more affiliates on it's platform and people are actulaly searching around the marketplace and signing up for programs.

Has anyone had this kind of experience with ClickBank? Do Affiliates come?

You'll get affiliates from clickbank i'm sure of that. But if you've never used clickbank as a vendor you will not get approved for a product in your price range until you have a good track record on sales.

How do you prove this good track record on sales? I talked to ClickBank support and they told me jsut to submit it to see.

Also, is there anyway I can do paid promotions on clickbank?

What do you guys think of a premium service on clickbank offering 35% commission rates on 250-500 dollar service?

Normally by having a lower-priced product on ClickBank for a few months first, and satisfying ClickBank that you're a professional vendor with a low refund-rate and few customer and affiliate complaints.

Good luck with it. Possibly they'll accept it as a "first product", then, though that would certainly be unusual for them.

I'm not sure what you mean by "paid promotions". You can pay to advertise your product on their site, if that's what you're referring to. (They're kind of similar little ads to Google's AdWords ads, but displayed to people reading ClickBank's administrative pages).

Again, I'm not quite sure what you mean by "premium service". The serious, professional affiliates whom you doubtless want to attract tend to look at a large variety of factors in selecting products to promote. The percentage alone means nothing to us, compared with the "earnings per sale" figure, because we tend to work everything out on an "earnings per click" basis, from our own perspective. Many will instinctively compare with a "known figure" like $66.55 (that's what we get, after ClickBank deductions, for 75% of $97, which is a common price). So, 35% of $250 works out at $80.59 net, at which many people certainly won't look askance. So, you "just" need a product and sales page which we think will convert our traffic, and which satisfy all our other selection criteria.

Hmm... I'm hearing from a lot of peope that it'd be rare for ClickBank to approve. It seems like a long process to set eveyrthing up just to get rejected...

Sure, Clickbank has a lot more affiliates then Shareasale. No doubt about that.

Why not promote the products yourself and then when someone buys, give them the option to join your affiliate program to earn money. Almost everyone does this.

You also want to be able to have a visible link on your website where people can promote your offer.

Do that for now and test things out to see if this helps.

Plus, if you want to have more affiliates join your program, make sure that you pay them anywhere between 50%-75% commissions. Offering them 20%-50% is not good and many of your future affiliates will not join for that reason.
