WSO & Affiliates - How to find good affiliates?

I want to launch my first WSO in a couple of weeks, what are the best methods to find warriors to promote my product?

I know this one: Affiliate Program Database

But is that enough to automatic generate a viable pool of affiliates? Or do I miss a secret here?

    There is no secret

The biggest factor is making sure it's a solid product

Then it's making sure you have a half decent sales page that converts well enough for affiliates to be able to make some good money

I would strongly recommend that you don't go round private messaging or emailing people asking them to promote your wso. There is nothing worse than getting messages like this.

    They will just be deleted

If however you have affiliates that have promoted for you before then that is different

The best way to stand a better chance of picking up more affiliates is to be well known for creating good products, build some good relationships with other marketers (this doesn't happen overnight) but in time things will start coming together and you will find that more and more people will want to promote your products

put your ad on top of the list in your wso lisiting, cost $100 per day but is so worth it. Also contact affiliates in jv forums, facebook groups and skype groups.

List yourself on MunchEye, and warriorjv.com, it's free to do both.

Don't spam people with PMs, I report people for doing this because it's such a pain.

      I think this takes time....

You need to network with those who promote the most. Buy their products, give 100% commissions and start building relationships with the best affiliates.

Give a little and you'll get a little...

It's just going to take time. It's not quite as simple and just takes effort and personality.

You're also going to have to guarantee that your product actually sells. What's your conversions? EPC? etc.

Thanks, a lot of useful info here.

I understand that if you give 100% commission you attract a lot of visitors to your listing, staying high in the thread rankings, and you build your own email list from these buyers. If you are new do you have any change launching with 50% commission? I want to release a high quality wordpress plugin, which are selling quite good I think and give a higher commission as a result of their higher price.

Any good links to case studies about WSO's? What works, what not?

Thank you for this post and even more thanks to the folks who answered it! I'm a newbie affiliate manager and information like this is invaluable. I'm going to the Affiliate West conference this weekend, and I'm pretty nervous because what little I know this world is from books and reading forums. Nothing like face to face human interaction. My company doesn't have a lot of money for marketing so I'm hopeful getting out, interacting, and showing people what we do will attract more affiliates. But even for our limited resources, we're number one in 7 day EPC in the music category on CJ over the holidays, (right now we're number 2, but that's temporary and that's a testament to the product.

But the one thing I know, it's all about the product and people wanting to buy it.
