So, what happen and why I am moaning now-
From various places as other warriors and myself we get calls for quotation on work, I still do have my own freelancer id and of course from my company. All on a sudden I get a nice big email asking for some SEO work for both on site and offsite. The email looks professional and it is on my freelancer id not on my company ID. So, I have respond to that email and asking what they are actually looking for after looking at my portfolio. So, that person asked me that he got about 20 sites which needs working done. So, guys it is good money any way ("TWENTY") after three and four email, that person adds me on my personal fb account and other social network sites. Fare enough a good potential customer. But no where I could see what he does and who he/she is? now see what is happening- he/she said to me ,actually he/she wants to give to work to me by seeing blah blah blah and that person is confident enough to give the work but he/she wants to verify my identity. I told that person, if you are still unsure, you can still work and pay via free lancer site as you will have more control over it or you can actually work via my company for your marketing. Anyway, that person got my phone number as I am not hiding type person. Soon before I can realize, he/she created " A google account " and emailed me for my verification code .
a) How on earth you will tell someone what is the verification code that came on your mobile phone ?
b) Chances that slowly fabricating you whole identity slowly and make a complete new id of yours so that someone else can send spam mail on your name?
My fellow warriors, please remind you here in the UK and some friends in the states have already faced this several times that people by the name of verifying your id before placing orders are actually stealing your
a) Name: They already know from your social network site
b)Sweet talk you to add them
c) Get hold of your DOB if they are real on social network site then well and good for them.
d) Mobile number to verify
e) Finally do not know what are their next level of fraud.
Please be care full.
