The Easiest Money Any Beginner Can Make When First Getting Started Online?

Hey Warriors!

I'm really curious as to what people think the easiest way to make money online is, if you are a complete beginner?

Is it affiliate marketing, CPA marketing, offline marketing, selling your own product? Or maybe something else that I didn't just list?

For me personally, I started with affiliate marketing, then moved to CPA, and then finally started to make some real money by offering services to offline businesses. Of those three, I would say that CPA marketing, and specifically getting people to enter their e-mail for an offer was probably the "easiest".

What has been your experience?

In my opinion the easiest way anyone can make money in this industry is by offering a service, if it be article writing, SEO etc... There is always a need for them jobs and are a good way to get a little extra cash under your belt for future projects. I didn't start out like this, I had a mentor from day one so I went straight into affiliate marketing and list building.

Fiverr rocks! You can seriously get paid to absolutely anything on there.

Take a few minutes to think of some hidden talents you have ... you can probably make money with them.

oDesk and elance are great sources as well. Those are two easy ways I started making some pretty good money.

Also, there's eBay, do you have anything you can sell?

I think that's the wrong mindset, looking for easy money. Newbies
are shooting themselves in the foot approaching this business that
        way.

Churning out work for fiverr, odesk or similarly low paying clients
doesn't sound easy to me. It sounds like a lot of work for very little reward.
Not why I got into internet marketing.

I think you're absolutely right. "Easy money" does not usually equate into a long term business model. If it was easy, everybody would be doing it!

I'm more interested in hearing what people think are some easy ways to make money online, not necessarily any sustainable business ideas.

The easiest money I ever made online was $1,200 one weekend off Craigslist by using a CPA offer. Unfortunately I had shared my method earlier on WF and it was pointed out to me that what I did wasn't exactly ethical or possibly even legal, so I'll spare the details today. Again, I guess it goes back to easy money usually isn't a long term business model!

Does anybody else have any specific examples of easy money they've made online? Please share!

The old mantra...."It's easy to make money online" is still the impression that every newbies seems to start out having, until the true reality of how hard it can be, hits hard.

LOL -- It's not like any marketers use that as a selling point or anything. Nope, they all tell potential customers just how EASY it is to make money online, with THEIR product(s) of course. Or, even if it's still hard work (they may admit that), it's still a cinch, no-brainer, no-fail-potential if you've at least got their product.

Ha! It's true... Selling the dream is classic marketing. I often wonder what the percentage of time is spent on creating the actual product vs. writing the copy for the sales page. My guess is the creation of the actual product is only 20% of the time spent on putting together everything (website, sales letter, OTO's, etc...)

Right. You're STILL working for someone else, only without the certainty of the next day's work and pay you get with a regular job. Okay, so you get to work in your pj's and save on gas -- very good benefits, and it's not a bad place to start. But I want freedom (and passive income, no less), not what I consider to be the modern day equivalent of indentured servitude.

Agreed. I'd start with fiverr and have services to upsell on.
I'd also be the middle man to providing services on craigslist.
If you've used a good service on fiverr. I'd go and try to match up who is needing similar services on craigslist and keep the difference.

Example 1: You may be a painter. You may be willing to paint pictures of pets for $5 in 10 days. For $20 more you'll deliver in 3 days. For $10 more you'll ship it to them and sign it.

Example 2: You find someone on fiverr who will transfer sites to different servers. Someone on CL is looking is looking for the same service and will pay upwards to $30. You've pocketed $25.

So I'd say the fastest way is to again like someone suggested provide a service and become the middle man to helping others find it.

Fiverr/Craigslist arbitrage is a great way to pocket some extra money. Beyond just your example of transferring websites, there are all sorts of help wanted postings on Craigslist that people are offering on Fiverr. By playing the middle man you are able to easily make money by only coordinating things.

I'm curious to hear more ways how beginners can make easy money... If this was a poll, Fiverr would probably be winning as the easiest way to get started. Any other ways people recommend or do you think Fiverr is the way to go?

          Thanks,
          Ben

Yes of course there are more ways. I personally did this with logo designing and made a nice little bit from it. The thing is ya gotta be able to find the need, and then the solution that it is cost effective to you being the middle person. Not hard at the least, but it does take time...which can be outsourced if you have the funds :-)

I have a WSO that suggested this strategy, but I didn't do it, and think it is a very poor model, because the only category to find ads of people to sell the services to is the jobs category, and those postings are looking for employees, not entrepreneurs selling a service.

When you contact them, I believe you are in violation of Craigslist TOS, because every ad says not to contact the poster about commercial interests. Even if you are giving away your service upfront, you are contacting them about a commercial interest, and if I were for example, looking for a full time webmaster, I'd be pissed if a bunch of marketers contacted me about a cheap or free website offer, for example.

peopleperhour.com is a freelancing website that allows users to post "hourlies", a product you can buy at a set price.

I disagree. There are tons of jobs on Fiverr that no one is buying and most people don't have an original idea anyway so put up jobs already being offered and then get nowhere because no one buys jobs from people with no reputation or reviews.

Man....it's ebay....no doubt about it! I believe someone already mentioned the ready made buyer traffic that ebay has, so I won't elaborate.

For years I've made alot of money from ebay. With all of this " get the latest new shiny object that teaches me how to make money" syndrome, people are really sleeping on ebay.

For example, anyone, starting from scratch can put up an auction on ebay right now and have accessible money in their paypal account within a few minutes....and I'm not talking about items around your house or from garage sales...even though that's possible also.

On January 23rd, this year, I put up 2 products that I knew sold well based on my research...I was able to get them at my price point to make a profit.

They both sold later that day, so I put up 2 more of the same product...2 more sales a few hours later.

I put up 3 more of the same item and they sold about 2 hours after the auction was put up.

Fast and Easy.....but of course you have to know the secrets to this. This doesn't work with just any product..oh, did I mention that I did this with $0 out of pocket

...and, these types of products are always available...

        ebay, without a doubt

I would suggest content writing and forum posting you can start cheap to get feedback and then raise prices to meet needs. Charging $0.50/100 words is good for some feedback then charge $0.80 per 100 words for good pay And up for large articles.

    Hope this helps you!

The easiest money to be made for a beginner is outsourcing Fiverr gigs! You can seriously take a gig that is worth 10 times the price and sell it as a service! Get the hang of it you can build your own site around it. Simple!

Try building a small list of names and emails in a profitable niche.

Have follow up messages that have value and educates them in that niche.

You want to do this for the first 5-6 emails.

Research for a good product that sells and offer it to your list.

Once you make a few sales, you can invest back into your business. Testing and tweaking to make more money.

This is a very short version, you get the idea.

If you want to grow a business, this is where you would want to start.

If you want fast money. Doing a gig on Fiverr would be it. You will receive low profits and never gain any substantial income.

Money blinds people from making money.

    Without question -- eBay.

There is a reason why it is a natural place people start.

However, many people lose money (or don't make as much as they could) because they don't take the appropriate approach.

YOU NEED TO TAKE A DATA-BASED approach.

Don't buy expensive research tools. It's a pity that people do that all the time..

But eBay, for sure. It's a natural starting-point.

I actually can't believe I forgot to mention eBay in my original post! I went through an eBay phase where I sold guitar tabs on eBay with some freeware software to view the tabs. It was a nice little money maker. Not anything that was going to make me a millionaire, but brought in an extra $30 - $50 every day. Unfortunately, eBay started cracking down on selling digital products and it became a difficult cat and mouse game to keep things listed.

Thanks for reminding me of eBay!

Even without selling digital products it STILL remains a great starting-point for Internet revenue.

I've taught hundreds of people from beginners to current powersellers on how to maximize their profits and it amazes me how disjointed current approaches to eBay are.

I fact a lot of people don't want to make money on eBay because 'the fees are too high' or 'shipping is too high' or other excuses.

These are just normal costs of doing business just like a strip mall lease or a franchise license fee.... it's a COST of doing business! However, the mistake MOST new (and even existing eBayers make) is that they don't take these fees into consideration BEFORE they sell an item.

And then they say stuff like "Welp, I sold an item, but I lost money in the shipping."

Or, "I sold an item, but I lost money in the fees"

That is so sad, and if that happens, you didn't take a data-based approach using ACTUAL market worths minus deductions to find the ACTUAL profit on a sale BEFORE you listed it!

A process I use and have taught for years.

It really is the great equalizer on eBay between you and the competition.

I never list ANYTHING unless I KNOW how much I make BEFORE I list it.

And here's my rule: "If I make money - I list it. If not - I don't". It seems to have served me well!

And that's why eBay is such a great launching point in making money on the Internet!

        Great post.

It's amazing how many people don't take a data-based approach to eBay, or all other online marketing for that matter. So often people make decisions off of their "gut" or a feeling they have and then they wonder why they ended up losing money. Even if they do make money from a feeling, they probably left a lot of money on the table by not looking at the data.

Companies pay big money to be able to manage their data and then employee Business Analysts to review the data, small businesses and individuals should start doing the same. Thanks for sharing your eBay experiences!

Offering services for sure ... but I got into IM to GET AWAY from offering services because I had an offline business offering services before my IM biz.

Therefore, for me, the fastest non service-based method was affiliate marketing. I did SEO and made direct sales off of a web page. Rinse and repeat.

Then I discovered recurring commission products and it added truly passive and consistent income ... slow at first though. I do this with a combo of selling from web pages and email marketing.

Then I applied my affiliate marketing to generating referrals for local businesses where I own the sites and retain control. Again, it's an SEO business but also works great with PPC because the commissions are huge. This too provides autopilot income, but took a while to set up (find a business, negotiate fees, set up campaigns).

Then (recently) I'm focusing more on list building, but am taking a while to generate a significant income from this ... but am confident it will work in the long run and will become a more and more important part of my business.

I have 1 pure SEO website that does well, but after Penguin I know it's a mid-term profit center at best ... but I really enjoy doing this so I keep a toe in this form of earning. Some industries simply don't lend themselves to list building ... but I'm still learning email marketing so maybe I'll have an "aha" moment with this site down the road. In the meantime it spits out decent cash every week.

Thanks for sharing! A lot of people have mentioned selling services, and I happen to agree that is a great way to get started making money online, but it's nice to hear somebody who has taken their affiliate marketing skills and THEN taken it offline to make money. That's the route I took too -- started in affiliate marketing, learned the ropes of SEO and traffic generation, and then went offline to start selling services.

Selling anything you can do well on Fiverr, Elance, Odesk, etc.

It can be writing articles, designing graphics, programing, reviews, you name it.

If you want to make money online, there it is right there for the taking. In a few months you can be proficient enough to quit your 9-5. And once you do that, you can expand into what ever you want. Building affiliate sites, product creation, CPA, etc. You will have the time, resources, and most imprtatntly the confidence that YES you can make a living working online.

    Cheers.

To make fast income I would recommend a service. What are you good at? Writing? Designing? Talking? Then pick a service that you can sell.

Then for a long term income - Look to expand that service, become the 'go-to' guy or girl for that service. Add extra options for that service.

Me personally I enjoy Fiverr the reason is because if you have a lot going on you can outsource come of your busy work. I think that one of the easiest way for beginners to make money online is blogging and having the right kind of platform to drive your traffic, and all you have to do is blog and share with people.

CPA is great to get some money in, i did it to begin with, and it was great, if you have an enormous and responsive list . For me nowadays, I go for high ticket sales, $1000 + payout per sale, and there are an awful lot of people buying, if the product/s are good and offer real value to the end user

    1) Set up a pre-sell/review page for a popular CB product on either weight loss, muscle building, or dating
    2) Head over to Yahoo.com/answers
    3) Post until you reach level 2
    4) Spend a few hours each day replying to relevant questions with your link in the "resources" - you WILL make sales (this method works best however if you actually create a squeeze page and gather leads, but that requires a bit more start up money)
    5) Go for gold and set up Google alerts for questions about product names (eg if someone asks about "Turbulence Training" then get right in there ASAP)

Boring and repetitive work, but it can make an easy $20-30 per day.

Great answer! I actually made my first ClickBank commission ever by posting on Yahoo Answers! I bought a few .info domain names on GoDaddy for 99 cents and then set them to forward directly to my ClickBank affiliate link. I then would put the .info link as the source for the answer in Yahoo. You really take it to the next level by setting a Google alert. I hadn't thought of that, but that's brilliant!

      NEVER!!
PTC is not a solution for online money making. Instead offer services which are in demand. For example content writing, link building, designing etc. There will be demand for these services and money can be made offering those service to people who need it. One good idea is to create a Sales thread at WF with your service.

For a completely starting from square zero answer? I would have to say Squidoo.

    Why?

Because we are profitable when our income exceeds our expenses.

Therefore, the easiest way to make money is to do something that has the least expense and risk. When we combine that with a learning experience, we're investing for our future with whatever effort over time we put in.

Squidoo is simple and easy, a way to start small, and a way to learn while getting grounded in what is involved in unleashing the power of the Internet.

CPA marketing is easy if you have enough money to burn.

For a complete beginner without much money I would not recommend it.

The easiest way to make money online is probably to create a Squidoo lens and promote some Amazon products. This is especially interesting if you focus on high ticket items from Amazon.

It depends, if you want a short term active immediate income, then doing gigs on fiverr or jobs on odesk, elance will be best.

If you want to build a business, then go build an authority blog/website, do affiliate marketing, or sell your own product.

But for beginners I will say setting up your blog and doing affiliate marketing on it will be the best way.

But for FAST and EASY income, it is eBay.

Because with blogging/affiliate marketing, that DOES take a lot of time.

Especially because in order to do it RIGHT you have to do it OFTEN and PHENOMENALLY. (which I am a big proponent of anyway. -- yes, I do blog as well)

And with doing it 'right' and 'often' blogging becomes easy when it is something that you LOVE to do.

The instant it is a 'job' that is the first day of your failure.

eBay still continues to be a natural launching-point for beginners on the internet because you can leverage the traffic eBay ALREADY has and sell quickly to turn a profit.

Theoretically, you can sell something RIGHT NOW and make something withing the hour.

Although there's been a lot of responses that talk about using Fiverr or some other place to sell services, I think you've been making a pretty good argument for eBay. I think you nailed it in the sense that eBay ALREADY has huge traffic and the very nature of the site is that people are looking to buy stuff. Maybe some people think that eBay is an "old generation" internet company and so opportunities don't exist there anymore. However, I wouldn't be surprised if eBay is the number one way that people make money online by having a sustainable business. There's one or two man (or woman!) operations that are literally pulling in millions of dollars a year!

Has anybody else had any success with eBay and wouldn't mind sharing their story?

There was a thread called http://www.warriorforum.com/building...ow-profit.html I used Silas Hart's advice from this thread. I orderd a Toy on Amazon, that was to be released in January.

Went to Ebay and compared it to Amazon's Price. Saw there was a nice mark up on ebay and order it through Amazon. Once the product was shipped to my house. I took two pictures and put a reasonable price on the item. With in a few hours it sold on ebay and money was sent to my pay pal account. Just by following Silas Hart's post step by step netted some instant cash.

I agree with the Warriors who said "easy money" isn't a good criteria for choosing a business model, but I wanted to add a few words on why I think that is.

When you are looking for "easy", it is because you view most things as too hard, and generally the skill set is only hard because we think it is.

Better to pick something where both the amount of money to be made, and the activities you'll be engaged in excite you enough to want to learn and grow in it. There is a reason video games get generally more challenging as you go along; otherwise you get bored as your level of mastery exceeds the challenge.

The best music book I ever read had a fantastic title: "Effortless Mastery", which captures the gist of it very well. The author says even music he has yet to master is easy in his mind; just a skill/knowledge base waiting to be mastered without strain.

If you go step by step, there isn't a lot in music or IM, or most human endeavors that is going to hang you up for long, but thinking it's hard adds years of unpleasant struggle to what should be a joyful, fun, and in our case, profitable process. Part of the problem is we often get embarrassed about asking for help when stuck, for fear of being seen as "dumb". Give yourself permission to appear "dumb"; and you'll automatically be smarter.

Ever see someone perform anything at a high level, then have admirers tell them "you make it look so easy"?

The big secret is this: while they bask in the glory, in the back of their mind is the knowledge that the reason it looks easy is because it is; once you've gone through the learning and practice to achieve mastery, and the process is both more fun and much faster when you get rid of the idea that there is anything hard or beyond you about it.

Baby steps and the joy of discovery and being at a higher level this week than you were last week makes it a wonderful adventure instead of a painful ordeal. This is a lesson I have to revisit often, conditioned as I was in younger years to view learning as painful. I guess I'm not alone, given the popularity of sales copy featuring "benefits" such as "you won't need to know anything".

Hey Greg, I think this is the best post of the thread thus far. I agree that baby steps and the joy of discovery are what makes things adventurous. It goes back to the old saying that it's the journey, not the destination. It's where things become gratifying along the way and work doesn't necessarily feel like work. The beauty is that once people get into that mindset they will find themselves progressing further and faster than they originally thought possible. Have you read The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho? It is a great book (and relatively quick read) that discusses the concept of it's the journey, not the destination..

BTW, I'm a guitar player myself, although I don't play nearly as much as I did back in high school and college. I'm going to check out Effortless Mastery, it sounds very interesting!

      Great post!

There is a reason why the % rate is so high that people fail in IM.

    1. They come into this thinking how to make the most money. When you should be thinking how you can help people solve their problem.

    2. They don't build a list properly or at all. There is a system to follow on building a list. Stop trying to make your own system. There are skills you need to learn. So learn them.

I'm not trying to rain on any ones parade. I don't like seeing people go through the same struggles I went through.

Some of these threads are hard to swallow. Pointing people in the wrong direction keeping that % so high. Yes you will get the very very very few people that get lucky and find other ways to make money online. The key is they got lucky.

If you want a sure thing in making money. You have to learn the skills in solving peoples problems and building a list. You can not learn being lucky (lol that sounds kinda funny).

Don't take my word for it. Search for the real "top" marketers and they all will tell you the same thing. They started out building a list. Not ebay, not Fiverr, not setting up PPC ads on their site. They all help people solve a problem and build a list.

I hope some of you understand the severity of this. You will only struggle if you don't. If I get one person to understand this, I know my time has not been wasted.

    To a better life

If you think selling on eBay's purpose is to just sell products?

      You're mistaken.

If you think that selling on eBay is to ALSO CREATE A LIST?

Then you're shooting to the top there, folks.

I would agree to a point. That may be a good way if you have products to sell. Even then, ebay is cutting into your profits. You have all your competitors right next to you. All it takes is someone to be just a little better and your sales will go down.

The majority do not have products to sell. Most come into this with nothing.
Then again, you do not see top marketers on ebay. Some people will get lucky and make something from it. It is not a good idea for a beginner. You need to know marketing and how people will react. If you tell a beginner to do ebay, you would be setting them up for failure. You need to know how to market in-order to market on a market network. A beginner will not have a clue on how to do this.

Building a list with a squeeze page, is the safest and easiest way for a beginner.

It's this mindset that has made me very successful on eBay.....

When people believe that they 'can't compete', that 'eBay takes their profits' and that 'they can't do better than their competition' this shows a lack of understanding that I capitalize on.

The thing is, I get to leverage eBay traffic and drive massive traffic to products. I get to rank higher than anyone else - and I get to convert my traffic into sales. And when I'm ranked HIGHER than everyone else -- then my competition really ISN'T next to me---- (Much like Google organic and PPC rankings -- if you're ranked higher, and you have captured the traffic and can convert it -- there really ISN'T competition)

I've been teaching this for YEARS just following my 'three simple rules of eBay'

Not only THAT but when people BUY those items -- those customers are now MINE. Any further sales CAN BE MADE OFF eBay LEGALLY (according to eBay's TOS) You have their name, phone number, email address, and everything.

          Bam. Your list.

And guess what? You made money creating it!

You may be one of the lucky ones. I will not put you down for doing what you do. I am truly happy for you. I like the fact you build a list of buyers right off the bat.

BUT, I would like to see who else has been successful doing ebay. Right now you are the only one I know that has.

If you ask how many are successful from building a list from a squeeze page, it will be allot higher then ebay.

I will also agree with you on the mindset. Now beginners have a hard enough time having the correct mindset with just a simple list from a squeeze page. It would even be harder for them to be in the right mindset for ebay.

If you can teach people how to do ebay, that is great. Keep doing it. I still think a beginner should learn the basics with a squeeze page with a freebie list. Then if they want to, move to ebay.

You need to take yourself out of the picture. Not what works for you. Not how your mindset is. It is, what is the easiest way for a beginner (newbie) to lean how to serve people and make money from it. Start them off on the mindset of building a list with a simple squeeze page. Then move them on to bigger and better things.

This is all about "beginners, newbies, newcomers" and starting them off with ebay would be to hard for them. Some dont even know what a URL is, hosting, domain, autoresponder. You have to give them baby steps and make sure they understand what your talking about. The best way to learn these steps is a simple squeeze page.

I actually had quite a bit of success on eBay over the course of a month back in 2010. It certainly wasn't a sustainable business model (as you'll see below), but it ended up netting me about $12,000 in one month.

I actually stumbled into this idea one Friday night in late June, 2010. I was at a 7-11 near my house picking up some beer and I saw a lady buying a sleeve of Big Gulp cups, along with a bunch of other random stuff. It was really weird, so I asked her why she was buying all this stuff. She said that 7-11 had just started a promotion with the Facebook game FarmVille where if you purchase certain items from 7-11, they come with a code to unlock special items in the game. Further, if you purchase all 8 of the types of food in the 7-11 promotion, you get to unlock $50 FarmVille Cash, which normally sells (at least at the time) for $50 US dollars. What she then told me really opened up my eyes. She said that a lot of her relatives didn't have any 7-11's near them, so she was buying the food products just for the codes to send to her relatives. Bingo!

I have never played FarmVille in my life, but I knew it was huge. FarmVille Secrets from ClickBank had been hovering around a 500 gravity for as long as I remember, so I knew it was a hot market. As soon as I got home from 7-11, I posted a very simple ad on eBay advertising a combo of all 8 products with the $50 FarmVille cash that would be unlocked with it. I made the ad for $40 and didn't worry about making it look visually appealing or anything like that, I just wanted to see if I could sell one of these. Mind you, I hadn't even purchased the products from 7-11. I figured I could do that after I made a sale.

Well, after I placed the ad on eBay I turned my attention to my Friday night activities. I may have had a few too many to drink and didn't fully remember to ad until the next morning. When I got up and checked eBay I was shocked. In about 12 hours I had sold 6 complete sets for $40 each. Over $200 in 12 hours! I couldn't believe it.

I then went to 7-11 and rounded up all the items. Each set included a sandwich, big gulp, coffee, ice cream, chips, iced coffee, a fruit bowl, and one other things that's escaping me at the moment. At any rate, it was a pretty big shopping trip getting 6 of each, but little did I know that was only the beginning!

I ended up selling 10 more sets on eBay just on Saturday alone. I went back to 7-11 and ended up clearing them out of all the items and had to go to another 7-11. I would then go home, peel off the stickers with the codes and e-mail them to the buyer. I would then put the codes in an envelope and send them to the buyer via snail mail to stay within eBay's terms of selling something physical.

As the month progressed I started making little tweaks in my ad to make it look better. I also noticed that once I got a couple positive feedbacks my sales went through the roof. People kept thanking me for offering the codes because they didn't have a 7-11 near them and thought it was a great deal since it would normally cost $50 to get 50 FarmVille cash. I ended up raising the price to $50 for the set. For awhile, I was selling about 20 a day at $50 each. To purchase all the food with the codes it was about $15 per set, so I was making $35 profit for every set of codes sold.

As the month went on it got more and more competitive on eBay as others started doing the same thing, but I was still able to get 10 sales a day even as the promotion was ending at the end of July 2010. Knowing that the promotion was ending and that this income stream was going to dry up, I went to the store owner of one of hte 7-11's and asked if he could place a larger order of the foods that I could be. He gladly agreed and I ended up paying $1,500 for another 100 sets. This allowed me to continue selling even after the promotion at 7-11 ended.

So obviously this isn't a sustainable business model because of the limited time promotion offered by 7-11, but that month was a great success for me on eBay. It was actually a lot of work. Typing in 16 digit codes to e-mail to the buyers took a long time. I was spending 2 - 3 hours a day just typing in codes of people who bought. And I had to stay on top of it or it just became overwhelming. So it wasn't necessarily "easy" month as there was work to it. But it was a great month for me!

The way i started was to write articles for others. When you do that you can find hot products and niches. Then do some article marketing on those topics yourself.

    This thread is completely misleading.

Thread Tittle - "The Easiest Money Any Beginner Can Make When First Getting Started Online?"

Now I'm a person to tell you how it is. More then half these posts should be deleted from this thread. These are not suggestions where a "beginner" should start.

Most beginners don't even have an ebay account let alone make money from it. "Beginners" need to learn the right mindset, what a domian name is, what hosting is, what an autoresponder is, understanding coding, how to use HTML, how to set up a squeezs page, how to use follow up messages in their auto responder, how to do basic copywriting, installing Word Press, and other little things a "beginner" should know.

The easiest way to learn this stuff is, setting up a simple squeeze page with an aoturesponder. A "beginner" will learn these skills and make a few dollars from it. Then they can move onto bigger and better things.

Ebay shouldn't even been mentioned in this thread. Yes you can make money from it (I'm not saying you cant). It is not a place for a beginner to start. What these suggestions are doing is giving a beginner "Information Overload". The worst thing you can do to a "beginner".

I agree with some of the stuff you say about learning the right mindset, what a domain name is, hosting, and all that, but then you go on to say that a beginner should just set up a Squeeze Page with an Autoresponder. I'm not sure a beginner is going to have any idea what a Squeeze Page is, let alone be able to set one up, if they don't even know about domain names and hosting. Just a thought.

However, I do agree about the information overload.. there is a lot of stuff in this thread and it can be a little overwhelming to digest.

      Hi

This is my first post ever on this forum.

I have read a few threads, mostly related to beginners (which I am) and I must say that for a beginner, this is quite overwhelming. I am almost ready to give up. Understanding the terminology alone is going to take considerable time so I do not hope to make money online anytime soon.

It took me a while to figure out what a WSO is (I finally got it, by chance may I add ). Oh, and this is the first time ever I hear of a squeeze page. No idea what that is.

In some posts, it was like reading chinese, and I had to use google to find my way through.

What I am trying to say, is that just like with everything else in life, we need to learn how to walk before we can run, and we need to be able to stand on our feet before being able to walk.

Thank you for the post Justin. I totally agree with you.

ok here is a easy method for beginners. What i done to get the ball rolling was to be an affiliate with a hosting site like hostgator or blue chip. As some of you may know host gator pays of $50 for each sign-up and only cost the customer $6. now what you offer them is a free wordpress blog website. Now if you dont know a thing about building websites dont worry you can buy gigs on fiverr who will build a simple blog website for $5. Its best to have a website to offer this deal but if you make a good free blog about this plan it can still bring in customers.

You bring up an interesting point, actually, here -- and one I appreciate.

As a beginner, sometimes you feel TOTALLY lost with all of this terminology and technical stuff!

So from all of the reading, what feels the least intimidating and most familiar?

(And it won't hurt my feelings if you don't say eBay - but c'mon --- you've heard of eBay -- right?)

Yep. I've heard of ebay alright. I don't like to sell physical products though.

The least intimidating to me would be writing and tutorials. I have a passion for both and anything I do online will be related to it.

Edited: By the way, I now know what a squeeze page is. It turned out that I am familiar with these pages, just never knew what they were called.

I also had to google MRR and PLR. Interesting.

I think I will start a thread for beginners to understand all terminology and acronyms. Maybe I will even find a way to make money out of that!

I've said it before and I'll say it again - the easiest way to make money online is to sell services.

You don't have to be a master or even very good at it. You can even start by reselling. Point is that there is always a demand for some kind of service and most of the time anybody can learn how to deliver it.

Few things I recommend and in that order:

    - eBay
    - Focus Groups
    - List Building
    - Review products
    - Surveys

Most Recommended - Patience and belief in your abilities to make astronomical figures by growing a business with hard work. Nothing can substitute that.

    Hope this helps.

Although list building is the most profitable, as a newbie you're best off keeping things simple and selling affiliate products with direct linking just to get you used to how online marketing works

This is pretty much how everyone starts out including myself

Create some videos for youtube and sell affiliate products, either that or create a little website around a niche which you know a lot about and which is also profitable

For building up capital, I think offering services is the easiest way, be it writing articles, doing linkbuilding or web design. Later, you can also scale this up by finding new sources of prospects, and outsourcing the work.

Selling your own products is BY FAR the best and quickest way for anyone to make money online in the quickest time possible if you have no experience. You should figure out what interests you and then look at what the authorities are doing in that sub-niche to make money.

For example, if you want to build a list then look at what big marketers are doing to capture leads and model them...

I have been a Warrior since 2009 when I first entered the online marketing business, I spent the first two years chasing my tail following every shiny object that passed my path. Information overload was a very serious problem. The reason I mention this is as follows, I wasted $$$$ and time not being focused while trying to learn everything at once and never following up with consistent work focused on a positive outcome.
The turning point came when I actually learned a certain skill set which I could sell for real cash, then things started to happen.
The point I really want to make here is this, there are many ways to earn a living online and lots of them actually work apart from the scams. But the key is focus, and I would recommend to anybody starting out to hook up with someone who can teach them the skills they need , then pick a proven method which makes money and then focus the skills you learned on that method until you start making money, then when that starts ramp up the effort and start outsourcing the tasks necessary to build up your production and your wealth.
Simple method LEARN YOUR TRADE and then work it..
    Hope this helps.

I think the easiest way for a newbie to make money online would be by offering services on Fiverr or doing article writing if your writing skills is sufficient.

the key is to offer some type of service, copywriting, design services, then once you save some money you can think about creating your own product and sell them to people. I think affiliate marketing is hard to dive into if you are a newbie. It's interesting to learn about it but I wouldn't do it again if I was a beginner.

There is no such thing as "easy money" online. You need to learn the skill and first develope the correct mindset. Then its picking a market, building a list and marketing either your own or affiliate products.

    1. Build a list - You can market different products to a person again and again. Nothing beats this! Can try buying good and cheap solo ads from safe-swaps.com.
    2. Video marketing through youtube - Easy residual income. Make sure your video provides valuable information. Add a link to your website or an affiliate link at the bottom.
    3. Offer your service such as article writing or website design in the Warriors for hire section.
    4. Fiverr - Include upsells so you would not just make a measly $4 ($1 to Fiverr) for each customer.

Why do we always go for things that are easiest and fastest? Tough and slow methods of earning lasts a lifetime.

P.S. The most easiest money online I can think of is composing articles for 'cheap'. Yes, the buyers expect the 'quality' to be high though

I agree with Ben it will be much better to invest the time and money into growing a venture that can last for a long time. The progress is slow but it will be worth it once the results starts to show. The most important thing is to start having the mentality that the magic pill does not exist and it does takes work to make money online.

Offering your skills like copywriting or blog commenting is a quick and easy way to start especially if a person doesn't have qualifications to do more complex things. In the meantime keep learning and start offering more sophisticated services (like SEO, link building, website creation etc.) with time.
