Are domains like 6ame, 6amers good for video game sites?

    I would say not really - 99 out of 100 average web surfers wouldn't even know what that says. Guess it depends on your target audience though ...

    Personally I would recommend something more "mainstream" in case your site catches on gets popular. I wouldn't want my site to be 6amers.com when you could have a much better name to build a brand around.

    "6amers" is short. It made me stop and think. That makes it memorable.

    Those look like big advantages to me.

    Perhaps you could do something clever with the name on the website, such as having a series of names showing "6amers.com" morphing into "Gamers.com".

    Unfortunately, "6amers.com" is already owned by cyclists who get up at 6am. Bad luck!

    I suppose you could try to make "6amers.NET" memorable, but it doesn't have the same appeal to me because it's complicated - people have to figure out the "6" AND remember the "net".
