Almost Every "Big Name" Marketer Uses Pay Per Click

Yet the only one who seems to be honest about the fact that you need to pay for real traffic is Kern. So many of these other guys are telling you that you can take it all the way with just SEO, and "do it yourself" SEO at that. It's selling a dream, man. Everyone big pays to play, but only a few will ever tell you this.

I'd have to disagree. From what I see, most of the big traffic related products/launches and "gurus" themselves admit that paid traffic is the easiest way to scale your business. Whether it's PPC or not is another matter. I've spent 6 figures on AdWords but I've since moved on to greener pastures. I know a lot of others who have done the same. Adwords is still great for a lot of situations though, obviously anything ecommerce related etc.

Usually the ones strongly hyping SEO are selling some tools or services.

Most companies with a marketing budget will definitely go for the paid traffic route.

I don't see many "Big Name" marketers telling people to use SEO. SEO is probably one of the most unreliable traffic sources around and has been for a long time. It's only getting even more unreliable as time goes on. A lot of the "Big Name" marketers don't necessarily use PPC either - some do, sure. But a lot of them use relationship marketing such as Join Ventures, affiliates, and the like.

Actually you can get big traffic using SEO within a month, believe me. To achieve this you need to understand how Google Works and some twist to it.

So, can you share how Google works with the rest of us?

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.

Every big name marketer reaches out to people with email lists and that's how it usually begins and then slowly snowballs.

This is not necessarily true. I know of some well-known marketers who make 6-figures that have never tried it before. I also know of marketer who used to do PPC but had their accts. shut down for various reasons and now just do SEO-related stuff. With that said, these people are employing various business models within their businesses -- not just one.

Relying on one traffic source for your success is a BIG mistake no matter who you are. Sure organic search results are great, but SEO takes lots of time, lots of work, and lots of resources before you start seeing any benefit from it. Is it worth having highly targeted organic traffic? You bet. And I bet any of these so called guru's will tell you the same. Sure develop your SEO, but don't bank on it.... hit PPC, PPV, Media Buys, Solo's, Social Media, and every other traffic source you can.

Wasn't it Charles Kirkland who said that wonderful, amusing line "When it comes to traffic, my two best friends are Visa and Mastercard"?

Maybe he can confirm he did actually say this.

I never heard him say that specifically, but I do know that Kirkland uses "a lot" of paid traffic sources.

Well, ppc is more reliable in fact and if you are broke, you need to drive traffic in some way or another. Well, there are many vouchers out there that newbies can use to start their journey in the ppc world. Ppc-coach.com is very useful and the help of affiliate managers in CPA networks is awesome as well.

Big names have got big targets. While they have grown big, they do not want to waste too many time doing SEO, while they reach to every part of the world through PPC.

Seo is very fickle. Relying soly on seo for traffic is a big mistake. Just look what happens every time google does an update. You see marketers who proposed one method of making money online because they were making thousands all of the sudden see their income drop 60 to 80%. If you rely on seo then you can have it wiped away overnight based on the whims of one company.

With Plc and other methods you have some control over your traffic as well as your destiny.
