MEDIA BUYS FOR WEIGHT LOSS PRODUCTS

Goodday Warriors,

My real name is Emmanuel, an internet marketer though with very little to show for it. I have a plan but I need the input of all especially the experienced marketers in the house..
I recently developed interest in promoting a few products in the health and weight loss niche that pay per sale. I built a site (hotnaturalproducts.com), targetted a few keywords and started doing SEO to get some natural targetted traffic. This has been a very slow process as we all know it takes some time to get some real results. After a while I started doing some PPC (Adwords and Adcenter) and started recording sales in the average of one every three days! traffic volume was very low and I couldn't scale up. I tried doing PPV ads but my experience with DirectPCV was very discouraging. They sent me very bad quality traffic in their thousands that some of the networks I work with had to warn me about some malware traffic coming from one of my sources. I immediately cancelled them out! Do we have warriors active in the weight loss niche? Here is where I need your help:

1. Does banner advertising really work? I once tried it with auto insurance but the results were terrible. What are the best sources of media buys for the health/beauty and weightloss niche? Do you suggest I direct link to high converting offers? I'm also thinking of creating video only pages that would do the marketing /convincing, then send traffic from banner networks to the video page and hope the visitor clicks through to the products page. Is this a good idea?

2. What do you think of article marketing? I am also thinking of churning out articles, say a hundred and distribute them to article directories and do a direct linking from the article pages. Please advise me as all this could be sooo confusing. I also cannot really afford to waste money on unproductive and time consuming ventures only to end up more penniless and discouraged. Please I really need you to assist me here as well.

3. I heard that Traffic Vance (PPV) has some decent amount of good quality PPV traffic and I would like to work with them. Is this a good idea? Can anyone assist with referring me to them?

Your extra inputs are very much welcome. After four years of trial and error I think it's high time I got things right. I really think I need a guardian Angel to guide me through this time. Kindly assist please..

Thanks and God bless you for reading.
