Suggestions on promoting a product to Aspiring Musicians?

Hey guys.

I wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions on a quick way to promote a website to unsigned / aspiring music artists / singers etc?


A long time ago I used to promote to myspace musicians (who created band pages), so it was easy to reach them with an auto friend adder... I know tons of musicians are on Facebook / Twitter... but does any one have any suggestions on how to reach them in bulk with any software that's out there? I understand I could by adspace on facebook, but not wanting to delve into that at this time.


Also... I don't want to go through article marketing or adwords...


Somewhere where I can get mass traffic quickly would be ideal, but open to your suggestions.

    That's a tough market to sell to. I had 10 years selling to that market. I always said "If you want to truly test your sales skills, try to sell something to musicians." Where we need to traditionally prove something is worth 10 times the amount of the price we're selling it to to the traditional world, you'd better prove 30-40 times the value with musicians. Best I can say is do a lot of JV partnering. Find all the musician referral website owners you can and offer them 50% or more of your product sales if they roll it out to their lists through an affiliate link. There are so many websites out there trying to make money off the musician market, it's silly. And, I can only imagine how many "girlfriend's" credit cards I took because the male musicians had not money. Hope that doesn't stop you but more convinces you that you'd better be really determined to get your product out there.

    Most sites now are careful about spam and most programs you would find wont let you mass message people like you could with myspace.
