Should I change the name of my Kindle book

I have a book up on a kindle yet I believe I should change the name to better keyword optimize it. The problem is it has been up for about 3 months now and sold some copies too. Do you think I should change the title and how would it affect the sales?

It is possible that a change of tile would see many more sold. However, to be fair to all those who bought your book already, you should put in the inside of the book what your old title was so that anyone who purchased it will not make the mistake of buying it again. This can be on the first or second page where it will be seen in the preview. Alternatively, you can include the fact of the title change in the review or blurb that the author writes.

Depends on many different factors. If you link to your book, I will take a quick look.

Depends on the niche your book is in. Is it fiction or non-fiction?

More than anything, does your title say exactly what your book is about? Is it relevant to a search term used on Amazon? Is your description clear and informative? Does your title leap out and grab the eyeballs of people scanning a page? For example, Dreams of Health. Is it about health? Dreams? Fitness? World Order?

    Just a thought.

One of my books I wanted to do something similar, so I added a subtitle with the keywords that I wanted. That seemed to work, since I'm now selling about 20 copies a month vs. under 10 before. I know that's not many sales, but it was my first book and I made it in under an hour and it makes me money every month, so I'm happy.

Kindle, wait for me! I'm gonna attack this in 2013!

In fact, the title of your book is the most important money magnet. Most visitors "only judge the book by its cover". Get advice from a pro copywriter if needed.

I changed the title on this one when the first two or three reviews said the book was great but title wasn't.

Made a big difference in sales.

I forgot change the title and cover inside the book though, and Amazon sent me a polite request to do so. So just putting a note about the change in the description isn't enough.
