This sales video made me laugh

I couldn't stop watching this sales video, not because it was good, but because it was so bad I couldn't stop laughing. It is very obvious these people are very bad actors who have been given a script. I can't believe this guy actually thinks other people believe this nonsense.

Enjoy: project first sale

Pfft... if he was so rich he could afford having a servant who lifted him up on a chair like a king and carried him all the way to his limo.

Yep, people make billions in business. The problem is this guy is making money off selling this content to you (likely). And he's renting that helicopter, limo, camera-man, actors, etc. It's like a low-budget movie.

Money is all around us. And it's easy to find. You just need good ideas and the right direction.

Reminds me of another much more well-produced sales video that ran for like 45 minutes. In it the guy starts off at his house talking about how much better he is than you, then it carries over to an airport and a private jet with a hot babe... the stuff this guy spewed during the "in-flight" portion of the video was just too funny... then your whisked away to some vacation resort like place, where it just continued.

Man, whatever happened to that video?

While this isn't as well produced, it definitely reminded me of that. I'd bet $20 this guy or these people got the idea from that video.

This is almost exactly the same video I saw a few months ago with the name "Paul Ponna" on it. He's a guy who I bought a system from once and found it to be a waste of money and cancelled it but not without having to push him for my refund.

So a few months ago I saw another video again and it was even FUNNIER than this one! BUT it had almost exactly the same script:
A guy gets out of a fancy car (instead of a helicopter), picks up 3 losers on the beach (instead of off the street) and shows how they can make money very easily and quickly with just a few minutes of time (NO real work, of course! The real gurus in this business never do ANY work, the money just falls from Heaven into their bank accounts! (yea right))

So yeah, these videos are funny.
But it's sad that many people fall for them and get sucked in. While it may only cost you $9 to get in, once you're in all they do is hit you up for more $ for ways to make money even better and quicker of course, and if you're not sharp enough to know you're being scammed (and hey, we've all been there once or twice in our lives with some kind of offer that is "too good to be true"!), then next thing you know you've got hundreds of dollars wrapped up in something that is a total waste of $.

That guys limo has a CRT TV in it. He cant rent a more up to date limo for this video I guess.

He is happily married, yet his wedding ring is on his pinky finger.

He is a public speaker but his speaking style is monotone and bland.

Acting sucks to. Not believing it. Whole video screams lame and fake.

I always hate videos like this. I know they're trying to show proof but:

    A) I believe them even less.
    B) They come off as woefully insecure

Edit: got farther in... The acting is priceless... "Into my bank account???"

Better still "Like I said, we're going to take my personal helicopter (pause) to my house...."

I digress.. Thanks for sharing this hilariously tragic find.

I don't blame the guy. At least he had the money to rent those things for his video. It's a serious step up from the "I'm a chill guy in my cheap shirt and unmatching shorts, in front of my poor quality webcam where the video quality is so bad you don't know if you are looking at Pamela Anderson or Danny DeVito and lets not talk about how laggy the video is compared to the audio - but listen here, I'm a millionaire damnit and I just want to show you my ways! I can't attest to the quality of the product, but to say the $$ comes with not much work... Is just plain not real.

Shame really. To spend what looks like big money on such a shoot, to possibly waste such resources, for such a transparent no no... Is a real shame.

All I'm going to say is...

However gaudy his content and approach, his target market is highly unlikely to be anyone in this forum. His prospective "homer" is completely new to IM and being sold the dream. Also, Most of the people in this thread were probably introduced to IM by someone or something very very similar to this.

Second, I think sometimes, people here have some kind of illusion or tunnel vision that there is only one way to skin a cat... Or one audience to make money from.
Don't be so predisposed to believe that your "homer" is a person smart enough to seek information on a forum.

Well, this thread sure does a great job of pointing out the obvious.

I mean, it's 2013 - I can't believe people are still debating whether or not there are actors in the sales video?

I STOPPED watching sales videos a LONG time ago, and you should too.

It's called a SALES video for a reason. Of course actors were used, of course the cars/limos/helicopters/mansions are rented and so on.

Do I agree with it? No. But nothing is going to change anytime soon.

People need to stop judging products at face value (sales video) because you learn nothing from the video. The product needs to be judged by what is actually offered on the inside, which may be great - even though the marketing practices/sales videos used suck.

Now, 9 times out of 10 the actual person behing the product CAN afford all the things shown in the video, and the actors are used as a representation.

It's either these low budget mini movies OR the alternative which was long, dull and boring PowerPoint presentations with a voice over..(BOTH suck imo)

    But thats just my 2¢

...and actors, helicopters and limos certainly aren't a mandatory staple of one.

The problem is that the sales video should explain some of the content, or outline of the system they're trying to sell. What I got from this sales video was "dude buy it and you'll become a millionaire so you can afford helicopters, limos and starbucks". What I want to get out of it is an outline of the system -- not explaining the meat or juice, but the fundamentals of what they're going to be teaching. IMO Frank Kern does a great job with those using his massive whiteboard. I love the way Frank Kern sells.

The only reason many powerpoint presentations are boring is because they're explaining a "loophole" that doesn't exist -- and again coming the the same thesis that "you're gonna become a millionaire overnight". The powerpoint presentations that outline their system and explain the fundamentals of what they're selling to you are indeed not boring and I think you get much more out of it.

Look at legitimate products such as Evergreen Business System. It explains EXACTLY how you can use it to make money. It doesn't just give you some fact that somehow you can make a million dollars -- it tells you HOW you can become rich from doing it. It doesn't just tell you that you're magically going to become rich.

Take a look at traditional products. Even those ads on TV that run only 15-30 seconds long. They do a GREAT job of demonstrating the product and how it works. Like the snuggle thing, they don't just tell you "it'll make you warm and comfortable", they show it in action including how to put it on, and some 'sciency' facts behind how it works and why it'll make you comfortable (this is a bad example but I think you get the point).

The next day that same person emailed me again so I watched about 30 seconds of the video and brought back memories of the 1990's Internet marketing.

Yea but here is the thing. This guy was pretending like it was real. For example he was trying to get people to think that that guy from star bucks was a real 'student' and not an actor. He was trying to mislead people about his wealth etc. A sales video is fine, actors are fine, but when you deliberately try to miss lead people you loose all creditability and trust. Thats not fine.

Also even his copy sux. Notice how he talks about the 'students' in the past tense to start with. How they 'went' from .. etc. But then he shows it has if they were just starting with him. Notice how at one point he says he works 5 hours a day, then he says he works 5 hours a week. There are lots of screw ups.

No, I agree the sale video is terrible, I was just pointing out the fact that with every sales video, people always point out the obvious things such as rented cars, paid actors and so on, as if they were expecting to see REAL people (i.e. the product creator himself)

Judging the product on face value is all people have because the vendor gives nothing else.
I understand this, and that's what needs to be changed and show on the sales video, but I also understand that a lof the time, showing what the product is could give away the method and so on.

That's why I express due diligence to people involved in buying products. There are countless resources out there to help people make up their own mind after seeing what's included. Also with the ease of availability these days (buying for a dollar, free trial) people should act on that and make their own decision knowing they are backed by a risk free 60 day money back guarantee.

Seeing the product creator in a video is quite common. I've already watched about 5 videos today and I believe each featured the creator.

As I edited my previous post to mention, actors certainly aren't to be considered as a staple of a sales video.

A sales video can still be made informative yet remain blind.

Sometimes it takes nothing more than a creator introducing themselves and telling their story.

The sales page / video needs to function as an effective standalone.

If it doesn't then money is "left on the table" as the saying goes.

Not everyone will use initiative and venture forth to seek out reviews of the product so the entire presentation needs to be structured with that in mind.

Josh Monroe: it's one thing when the product is good, but the presentation is bad, and another one when the presentation is full of cliches and horrible acting, all trying to impress you in a such an obvious way.

"Long hours, bad pay - I used to be in that spot, too", "money on complete (boy, do they like to emphasize this part) auto-pilot", "fast money, no work", "no computer/technical skills required", etc, doesn't help the credibility, and to top it off, the vendor is giving the course away for free? "Yeah right" is what immediately springs into my mind.

    Golly that was bad.

Gave it five minutes. Didn't believe a word of what he said.

Did anyone else notice that the wife in that family buying the
home looked like she had just signed away her soul?

Kind of like all the network marketing aka MLM videos. Lol.

This is a special type of cheese designed to basically take advantage of newbies, very patronizing.

I find it incredibly difficult to take this guy seriously. I could try and squander more entertainment value out of it.. but 3 minutes was enough. I feel bad for those who fall for this, although their lesson may prove valuable (as many of us have experienced).

He's obviously insecure, not a real speaker, and his script copy is horrendous at best. I'm not trying to use this reply to bash him, but a product going from $49 to $9? That tell's you immediately that it's only (maybe) worth $9 and obviously not $49. I do not have respect for anyone who markets like that... but he probably converts like $#!* sorry I'm not sorry..!

I think the owner wants to proof something. But I got tired of listening of the b.s.. Especially it has 4 pop ups asking me to stay on page. For newbie, I don't know but not for me.

Only 4, you were let off light.

Exit pop-ups were pretty strange to. Video said everything was free.
First pop up said he would give me $30 (meant $30 off)
Next pop-up said I could have it for one time $1 payment
Next pop-up said I cold have it for one time $9 payment????????????
      Next Pop-said it was free
Next Pop-up started a new sales video at which point I slashed my wrists

I only got as far as the $9 payment.

I thought the movie was pretty good. For anyone who didn't see it, here is the spoiler >

It's a documentary about a nasal-pitched alien dude that abducts 3 dim-witted humans into his rented, 1980's looking, 4 wheeled spaceship. He then tricks them into getting into an earth vessel helicopter where they tour the airport, and transfer to yet another 4 wheeled spaceship.

After this crazy travel adventure, the alien dude entraps them into his earth based home where we discover he eats too much cheese and covered his alien existence by working at Starbucks.

Through advanced technology, the alien dude was able to discover an incredible thing called the "internet" and a website called "clickbank". He then directs the 3 numbskulls into creating outrageous wealth within 25 minutes.

Eventually, the 3 dimwits replicate themselves to the point where the "internet" becomes full of spam creating, link generating, article marketing zombies that are all controlled by the alien dude who takes a cut off the top. Sadly, the zombies kill themselves off because there is not enough food to go around, and the alien dude is seen in the final scene of the movie eating at his kitchen table with a shark-like smile.

But stay tuned for the sequel -

I love when he waves at Darell when he is only 2 feet away, then shakes his hand

"I am not here to impress you, but I'm going to give these 3 students a ride to my house in my private helicopter"

This guy is full of B.S, I live in a bigger house than him, and I am not rich lol
