There's loads of gold to be had on Fiverr. Some people really go to town with the services they deliver and undersell themselves to the extreme.

I've had similar experiences with Fiverr. Between the logo design contests (hire the top 5-10 rated gigs and pick the winner) and the Wordpress developer who is an absolute champ I have most of my website development/maintenance taken care of. And for dirt cheap.

Kinda makes me crack up when people come on here and lose their s*** that they paid $5 for a poo-poo job. While there are certainly some lousy providers -- but isn't it really like that with everything? -- they are worth sorting through.

That looks like a great deal 7 minutes for $5. Does she edit and format as well?

That's one thing I love about Fiverr! You may have to do some digging or trial and error but eventually you'll find someone who does incredible work for such a low price.

I found a guy who writes great original articles and have been using his service for over a year and the articles he's produced for me are still making sales for my niche sites to this day.

A lot of sellers offer high quality service with low price in the begining to get a lot of positive reviews and upgrades.

Fiverr is not all that bad. Of course, you have to realize that there are a lot of junk services on there as well. Congratulations on your find!

I know a person who transcribes 15 minutes of audio for $5.

I don't know why you paid $15 for 5 minutes of transcription.

I know many people talk sh#t about fiverr but I have also had great luck. I have used a person to make several banners, headers, etc several times and each time it has been delivered on time and the quality has been awesome!

There are a ton of great people on Fiverr that just goes to show that niche expertise and geo-arbitrage works well all round. If only it could be applied on a more global level we would all do well from it!

I have had similar experiences on Fiverr so I keep going back for more. Although I don't need verbatim transcription (I don't need the "uhh" and the "ehm", etc) which is why my go-to person is the lady in my signature. She formats the text beutifully and is a joy to work with. I actually feel bad for paying her only $5 for all that.

I've also had similar luck with other sellers so right now it's either Fiverr or Elance where I outsource smaller tasks.

One thing you might want to consider though, is trying to contact them outside of Fiverr since there is no guarantee that they're going to be there tomorrow. I've had this experience once; the seller had sold her account and I had no means of getting hold of her. That was a real loss.

But don't ask for their emails explicitely as that is against the rules. I usually attach a word file with the question inside or something like that. Works wonders and by now I have a small network of contractors that I can reach anytime.
