But wanted to do an urgent, aggressive email marketing to bail yourself out of financial trouble, which site or list owner would you approach? A google search isn't getting me anywhere. Sites like webtrafficmarketing.com seem like scam sites.

    If I had no list - here's what I would do....

    Build one fast.

    How?

    Create an awesome offer page with an optin form. Then advertise it via Google PPC.

    If you can get optins at 30% or higher and your product sells for a good number, with a good follow-up program, you could be profitable within a couple of weeks.

    other than that - buy an email list and spam people :-) just kidding

    I've always been weary of any site offering to email an ad for payment. I'm from the old days of the web and I remember all too well the big spamming schemes.

    Besides, I myself have never opted into any list that sends me ads willingly. Seriously, how many people would do that?

    Google Adwords does seem your best bet if you're in a hurry. Be it building a list or direct linking to your product, it would get you the quickest results.

    Build an instant "list" with Twitter. If you do it right, you can get a couple thousand followers in a couple days. Make sure that the product that you are pitching is generic in nature and you should be good to go.

    Making a list fast ... Tough if you never done it before, else it could be somehow easier. Hmm.. One thing though: If you ever get the idea or someone recommends you to still someone else's list, Don't do it! You will get in a lot of trouble.

    The best way to go is to use a landing page with ppc. Offer some kind of free ebook that you can easily make in minutes if you use content from article directories.

    Social Bookmarking (especially with Twitter) with a very nice optin form will give you a good amount of emails to blast. Stay away from the likes of PPC until you know you can monetize the list.

    Another option is to find someone with a list that you can do a Joint Venture with as in you give him the product to promote and you pay him a percentage of every sale

    remember if you use someone else's list with a JV you will have to offer them a good percentage for the product to get to offer it to there list... 50% is the norm for this..

    I can show you how to do it with CL, I find thousands of people a day to email I send them to a landing page they sign up and now their opt in and I send them what I want. CAn be very targeted, I make money everyday with it. Lots of money CPA or CB...I just posted a thread wanting to see how much interest there would be in such a wso.. craigslist A-Z=$$

      It's very hard nowadays to strike JV with list owners if you just offer them
      50% commission. They delete 99.99% of such messages.

      To get someone with the list of considerable size to JV with you, you must
      offer more than that.

      For example:
      "You will get 65% commissions from the sales of my product AND I will place ads for YOUR products on my thank-you page AND I will hit all buyers with YOUR OTO...AND I will even send 5 endorsments for your other products to my newly created list within one month. "

      Such JV offer could work. Maybe.
