What to Do About Google Not Indexing Some of My Articles?

I am gearing-up an article syndication site. Over the months, a few articles were added weekly and were usually quickly indexed by Google- except three. These three articles were uploaded over three months ago, they are of high quality, and passed Copyscape (I checked several times). I can't really think of a reason why Google seemingly refuses to index these three articles. I cannot syndicate them until they are indexed (as I must establish copyright). What should I do?

Include them in a google sitemap?
Link to them from another site?

Sometimes Google doesn't know that your new pages exist. You have to let them know they exist. So in order to do that you need to create special signs that Google may be aware of your new articles.

You need to use the hottest signs that Google is actually considering to get top rankings on nowadays and that is Social Media. Try to get links to your article from social media places, bookmarking, from a YouTube video, Squidoo, etc.

I wonderful way to do this is on fiverr. You can easily ask for a link pyramid service to every single URL where you articles are situated on your website. That will be more than enough sign to Google that your article is alive and that people are actually giving a social buzz online.

Google+ is consider it to be like the new exact match domain nowadays. I have seen top ranking differences between pages that are conected to Google+ and the ones that are not connected to it.

Finally type the title of the article in "quotation marks" and see if the article is on the results pages.

Please let me know what you think and what else I can do to help you out...

      Have a nice day...

My advice is that you should use Social Marker and TubeMogul to get some backlinks for these pages. pingler.com will help you put them in the eyes of big G as soon as possible.

Just wait some more and the articles will probably get indexed. Google is funny this way, but their goal is to get the internet indexed so as long as there isnt anything wrong with your content, it will end up in the G eventually.

Create a new blogger.com blog with one post. Put some unique content in the post, and add your links into the post. This will get them indexed. I have used this strategy plenty of times to get links found by Google, and it works well.

That's a cool idea, and something I would do.

Also, the google + idea is great too because that would be really fast

      Don't do this.

Just focus on doing what you're doing and quit worrying about Google.

The more time wasted implementing crap like this, the less time you have to invest creating high quality content on your own property.

I suggest you just ping those 3 articles and wait it out...maybe bookmark them. But, that happened to me with a few articles I posted as well. Sometimes Google just needs time to catch up and find your article. Besides, we all know Google does what it wants to do anyway lol.

    Hi Sebastian,

You might consider repurposing your content by converting into pdf document or/and video. Once that is done, distribute it widely across relevant websites.

I personally feel it is more practical to something extra instead of waiting for Google to index the article.

    Just my 2 cents

Thanks Zack I really do appreciate it, but that is something completely different. My question deals with an issue in article syndication.

If your article is on your site
    - submit the url to search engine
    - make sure your site map is up to date and submit to google webmastertools
    - build some backlink in high pr site with your non index url and hope google will crawl over your site when crawl the site you build the link.

If it is not in your site then make sure the link is dofollow or nofollow, or the site is being index by google or not , or might be already in google sandbox.

You might have registered a domain which had a life before you. I've had a client who got a new domain (or so they thought) and did everything by the book. Wrote good content, nailed the on-page stuff, had a few nice incoming links, but Google refused to index them, even though it accepted their sitemap. After some investigating, it turned out that the domain was used several years before that, and part of a big linkspam farm. We had to file a reconsideration request with Google.
