I've consolidated my to do list recently. We completed about 9 months of development of a new release of our software, and now I manage:
    1. Support Tickets
    2. Paid Customization Work
    3. Customer communications
    4. Employee To Do Lists
    5. Billing and Payroll
We already have a system in place for these and I've simplified the business strategy for the first part of the later. Later this year we will surely get into some more fun stuff!

    1. Wake-up
    2. Take a shower.
    3. Brush my teeth.
    4. Get to the office.
    5. Do some work.
    6. Forget work for 15 minutes and do something else.
    7. Snap back to reality and get back to work.
    8. Work.
    9. Work.

I usually find these types of threads and questions to be places to poke fun at. Well, it's true though. The daily grind usually just involves doing stuff that needs to be attended to.

Keeping yourself in routine is very important if you are in internet marketing.

When I start my work then I start with content creation:

writing articles to update content of my blogs
building links to few pages for which I'm targeting some keywords
checking email frequently (this is my bad habit, I need to overcome this)
    posting in forums
    research
domain name management (I sell domain names too)

Email marketing. Writing emails every day is important. Having a list is great. Making money from a list is where the LONG TERM $Love$ comes from!

If you had a list of 10,000 people, and you treated them right, you could live of that list for years...

    Wake up before daylight.

Google the obituaries on my smart phone. If I'm not in them I get up and make coffee.

Have coffee and breakfast with my wife.

Check my sales. Get happy. Sales always make me happy.

The rest of the day in no particular order.

    Work on my pdf eBooks

    Work on my Kindle eBook

    Walk a mile or two

Go to lunch with a friend or family member

Keep tabs on the Warrior forum, again with my droid, which is signed on here 24/7

Start working on my second Million....

I gave up on my first Million.

    Go to sleep.

    Rinse and repeat.

Thats a very good point, I do as well. In everything I do, I build a checklist as I find it helps keep me focused and helps me get a lot done.

If you have never done it before I really recommend it!

I learned a simple trick for getting things done from a former boss of mine. He was the owner of the radio stations I worked for.

Everyday he had a list of things that needed to get done.

He put a priority to the list. Items with an A were immediate or definite priority. Each of those must be done that day. No question about it. Those were things that were knocked off first.

Items with a B were things that needed to be done, but not necessarily today. If all the A list items were completed, then B list items were next on the agenda.

Items with C were non-priority. Things that needed to be done at some point in the near future or when the time or a specific need would arise.

During the time we worked together I watched him delegate and get an amazing amount of things done using this simple technique.

I adopted this method of prioritizing and operate and balance multiple projects while getting an enormous amount of work done.

Some days the Critical A items are heavy on the list and some not so much. I am able to amaze myself and get a lot done every day just by creating this list with the following item priorities.

A -- Absolutely Critical, must do done or completed today.

B -- Immediate Need, must be done but not critical yet. These items get worked on if there are no Critical A's that need top priority attention.

C -- Things to Get Done, but not critical or has an immediate need.

I've been told that a man was paid $25,000 for this idea by the owner of large steel mill back in the forties or fifties when we weren't so focused on personal organization and development.

Even with all the organizational and time management products and systems I've seen over the years, nothing has made more sense to me. The exception being the use of a meeting calendar and a 30 day tickler file to remind us of upcoming events and projects.

Let me know what you think.

A check list is really important. And following it up is no easy task, it really calls for persistence. When you are able to follow the list and get disciplined to list and maintain it, there will definitely be a change in performance. I keep on improving mine, and I'm getting better.
