What will be the best name for a company that do marketing offline, online, build website, build mobile sites, social media marketing, seo...

I know that some uses Media, Marketing, City Name, Design, Web, Solution...

So it can be like City Name Marketing or City Web Design or Marketing Media Solution

You see there are a lot of combinations.

If you were to create your new Biz, What will be it's name?

It really depends on your plans for the future really. Because, you also want to think about how the name will look after you get orders. Will it make sense to them when you sell them your product line. I know it's not the answer you are looking for but I'd suggest taking that in consideration too.

Also, consider if you want to eventually market in a region instead of a city. If you make the name a bit more generic, like NAME/CITY Business Solutions you can include a larger product line in your arsenal.

You can always add DBA's to your business name. I wouldn't get too caught up in finding the perfect name if you're just starting out.

You can call it YourInitials42 LLC for starters. Use it to keep your business expenses separate from your personal expenses. Then later down the road add a DBA to it with a more marketable/brandable name.

I agree with Robert. Just starting out I wouldn't focus too much on the "perfect" name because you can add DBAs later on.

But as a suggestion, I recommend going with a broader/catchier name. If you plan on doing business outside of your immediate area it may be more appealing to your potential clients.

What I did was used a broad marketing name for my parent company, then I added multiple subsidiaries.

    Hope that helps...

Put your name or your last name in it. It shows customers that you have pride for what you are doing and will not disappear. So if your called Rick Beckman, than Beckman Ultimate YMarketing Inc works great, (also abbreviates to BUY!)

The company is not that important provided that it doesn't drive people away such as:

"We rip people off" or "Scammers are us"

Just look at google or yahoo I believe the name doesn't always need to be that specific and isn't much of a factor in your over all success.

The reasons I don't like to put a name on is because who knows you retired (I'm over 40) or want to sell because moving on another business.

I also think that it looks better something like "region business solutions" rather than Joe Marketing IMO

Also I'm still guessing what to get for a new business I m launching.

I do own a regionmarketing.com domain name for long long time but a company in my area have that name as biz name and never contacted me to claim, also the owner is no more in business activity but kept that biz name. This domain that already have a generic marketing site is popular in my area.
As it's very generic I don't think he can do much.
So I could create a biz name like Region Marketing Com, Region Marketing Solutions... to secure my domain just in case.

Or go with your ideas like Region Business Solutions....

If it was me, I'd name it: "Magwood Marketing Group".

It would be me, my cousin, and my brother taking on clients.

Try something like a unique 4 letter word domain. Something like "Yext" or Yelp. There are too many IM businesses out there so something different to brand with will help tons.

I also was going for a brand name but having other biz that way gave me huge resources to make a brand name (advertising...)

I dont like the name Group because it looks huge business but my biz will mostly be like marketing consultant and web design...

Ok here is a good news for me, I've called the gov service that registered companies and told me that the "region marketing" company is no more in activity since 2008 so that's why they never claim my domain. So I could go with that name what's your though?

How about using a name that doesn't limit you to a specific area. That way if you expand to maybe worldwide, you are covered and don't have to change the name.

Also, how about a name that tells your clients what you can do for them, when they see or read your name. Something like, "Clear Results Marketing Group" for example. I hope that helps you out Best of Luck on choosing a name.

I like that thing about a name that doesn't limit a specific area but won't you think that local businesses will not really like it especially when you build a website with that name? Everyone is talking about local.
