Quality is definitely better than quantity.

I'd rather have a 100 quality visitors that interact and engage with my site than 1000 that leaves off your site and never come back.

It's all about conversions, and quality always converts better than quantity.

I like to tell people that you need to make contacts with real people every day. You need to be talking to them, seeing what you have in common with them and seeing how you can work together in some way. Sitting in front of the computer and running some tool and thinking that will make you successful has a much lower probability of success.

Quality, all else being equal.

I mean, if you offered me 1,000,000 views that converted at 1% or 1000 views that converted at 99% I'd take the first option. But a lot of energy, thought and effort goes to getting the right eyeballs in the right places.

Quality is always better. You have to ask yourself how much long term value does each potential paying customer/subscriber have to you. The higher the value the more you need to focus on only high quality traffic sources.

Quality is definitely the way to go. There have been lots of times where one click has yielded me hundreds of dollars in sales. Even though this answer seems obvious, it doesn't become real for lots of people until they actually experience it.

Quality, of course. Quality traffic is reliable traffic. But we also have to remember that you can't get quality for free. You have to offer quality goods and services, have a good site with great content, and invest a lot of time and effort doing marketing, research, interacting with customers, and thinking of new strategies to get traffic that converts.

Seriously, I have some sites that convert very very well ( it's all about targeting), but then once you find that targeted crowd, you definitely need to try and increase quantity as well!

why waste time, straight quality.

A large quantity of high quality traffic is my preference.

Quality traffic will always response if converted to list, while qantity traffic will always consist of non unique visitors and most time leads to waste of time.

Quality wins VS quantity. Why? Because quality hard to get.

The essence of traffic is value it adds, so quality is the hallmark. Nothing else.

The quantity option for is money and time consuming. But quality option is easy to manage.

As an affiliate marketer i know that how quantity can heart my hole program, if i have 100 quality visitors then there are 30 to 50% chances to have a sale of i am relying on quantity then i will spend $$ and returns LOSS. so there is no vote for quantity and quality

Good quality may come at a price but low quality traffic also has its own price with a drain on resources and low CTR.

Quality definitely, and if you're talking about Twitter then you're followers NEED to be targeted, or you're wasting your time! I drove thousands of visits to an Amazon affiliate offer with Twitter targeted traffic and out of thousands of people I only make 1 or 2 sales. If I was you I'd look for an alternative source of traffic than Twitter.

That is right but you need to track your traffic if you want to convert quality into quality. Talking about quality some of the sources where you can get it are Adwords, 7search, and Facebook. Solo ads are great along with Admob.

I think you have to strike a balance, but you're asking for a position and I'll go with quantity.

1. With more content you give people more reasons and opportunity to interact with you and your brand. I want people visiting my site as often as possible. Quantity helps drive that.

2. With increased frequency comes increased opportunities to be "searchable" on more topics.

3. Higher quantity gives you more excuses to promote your articles in social media avenues.

4. Seth Godin. Sometimes you simply need to look at what the top bloggers are doing to give you a clue on what works best. Although in fairness, I'm sure someone could point to another successful blogger who posts far more infrequently.

My opinion if the site is new then you need quantity more than quality ,but when people know your site then you should go for quality .

It depends on your niche and competitors. generally speaking-quality.

Quality is better in anything. This world work on quality not quantity.
Web traffic is the same as a car. Rolls Royce against some chinese copy / paste. What would you buy? Of course you would buy the Rolls Royce for his superior quality. Same as web traffic, you need people who want what you sell / share / say, not people who come and go..

So i choose the quality.

Quality over Quantity... Stating the obvious?

Next we'll be seeing posts saying "What's better, more money or less money? I've come to realise more money is better"

My knee-jerk reaction is to say "quality" and I hate to be "that guy"
that starts saying, "Well, it depends..." but it really does.

This is an age-old question, and many of the richest and most powerful
people in the world are still studying it in-depth. In fact, if you look at the
leaders of developing countries, you will find that they all have huge
internal debates over whether they should adopt the "Beijing Consensus"
or the "Washington Consensus".

If it is being debated heavily by the most wealthy and powerful people
in the world, IMers should know at least a little about it, and ask
themselves how they can make money with it?

While quality is certainly a far better investment of your time, you always
have to defend yourself against those people who want to come in and
dump their cheap crap into your market, undercutting you in everything
and stealing your customers with shiny packaging and pretty words.

McDonalds, Wal-Mart, China... We cannot simply dismiss the
"Quantity" strategy as if it is somehow inferior from the POV of
effectiveness. Spam, SEO, and article splattering are less effective
than when they started, but there are still people making stupid
amounts of money with them.

Quality is always better than quantity as far as online marketing concerned but sometimes quantity may give you some quick result but quantity is horse for the long run. The biggest advantage to focusing on high quality is that your personal brand will be seen as thought provoking and you will be seen as a leader in your niche.

Therefore quality is best over quantity

I've experimented a great deal on this and it always leads to quality with me.

I do know some people that do extremely well based on quantity. But, not many know how or have the budget to do this.

I'd much rather get an offer or product in front of 50 people interested in buying as opposed to 5,000 who aren't.
