Experience getting traffic from fiverr?

Hi

Does anyone of you have experience with getting traffic from fiverr?
I have tried a gig, for $5 I should get 5000 hits to my link. Since my link was
a squeeze page hosted by aweber, the stats there showed me like 3000 hits, but
the report of the guy showed 5500 hits.... most of them coming from China. I can't imagine that these are really human hits (as he says).
This might help for Alexa ranking and just getting hits to a webpage, but what does Google think about that (getting 3000-5000 hits within 2-3 hours and before no traffic)?
Since I am in the topic of getting traffic right now, I am always looking for new ways to get traffic, but targeted good traffic.
Has anybody made good experience and can recommend a gig?

thanks
Fabian

I have experience but it is in the SEO field. There is a guy selling SEO blastas and another with 2000 bookmarks. They have helped me achieve top rankings but you should understand that there is no safe game with big G. I also recommend you to contact the seller of the gig and some of his or her past clients.

One of my leads had ordered 4,000 hits and didn't get any results. After talking with him I found out he used someone that had no reviews and the traffic wasn't targeted. He also didn't do any tracking, so I don't know where the traffic came from.
I do see that you can get targeted traffic and there are some sellers with some good reviews. So, I would highly recommend going that way.

Don’t try to get traffic at Fiverr. You don’t know what kind of traffic you'll get. At Fiverr you can be helped with tasks like article writing, backlinks, etc.

The gigs about promoting your links to their Twitter and Facebook followers won't help you in any way if their followers don’t care about their posts, or about your links. Listings at article directories won't send you any traffic either.

You can use Fiverr to get backlinks and send them to a Squidoo lens (without fearing the Penguin) and this way your lens will have a better ranking. You should do it only if your lens already is displayed in the first or second page of Google when internet users type in its main keywords, otherwise the backlinks won't help your lens have a better ranking and drive traffic to your sites.

If you really want to get traffic to your website, i mean the targeted ones, you need to get you eyes of fiverr gig. You've got to work your self up guy. The truth is that all the gigs about traffic on fiverr are using some of unethical traffic generating software, an beside this, you got hits not traffic. So i would advice to stay off fiverr for traffic, get you self on either SEO for traffic or any paid traffic source, better still you can you use both, this is the only better option you have guy to get traffic. Hope this help.

You blasted your own site? That is soo wrong I can´t even put it in words...

No, no... if you choose to blast, you blast third party properties that can take the heat. And link those to your site with a well crafted funnel.

I wuldn´t do it anyway. A run of bookmarks can do, other stuff... mmmmmm

If the clicks come from China they might even use people. Apparently they are using inmates for these types of gigs, read about one dying from exhaustion after 4 days glued to the computer.

I wouldn´t touch that, very bad karma.

Sandra, it was not a webpage that I tried with this kind of traffic, so no problem with Google and so. I just tried this with a squeeze page hosted directly on aweber to see if I get conversions at all.... but I didn't....

I would research and learn you tube marketing and seo if your after targeted traffic. Fiver gigs are a bit dodgy in my experience.

Plenty of good advice available for free on this forum.

thanks a lot for your feedback.
I guess what all have experienced is that it is not targeted traffic at all, there might be exceptions... but most of it seem to send the traffic via bots and softwares.... and the result is no conversions..... will keep you updated if I should find something useful...

You'll not get proper targetted traffic from Fiverr.com. If you want people who actually will opt-in you'll need to look at a list swap or there are people who will promote your squeeze to their list for money ... it will cost more than a fiver, but at least you'll get some thing for your money.

There is one guy selling linkwheels. If I ever buy traffic I would consider him. And bookmarks still work to give some love to secondary properties.

      Those are ok-ish...

I've noticed a few sending mass wiki blasts which can be considered for your tier 2 and 3s.
That is probably one of the safer fiverr gigs I personally use.

Fiverr is used to boost up traffic for Alexa ranking. Mainly for website flipping.
Not sure these are real human visits.

Must be used mainly by stupid marketers, then, because bot traffic (which this is) has a high bounce rate.

At some point in the last several years Alexa changed their algorithm to take bounce % into consideration. If you actually care about your Alexa rank, Fiverr traffic will destroy it.
