Forum Members,

Which site is the best to offer domain names for sale? Is there a forum within WF for this?

Have you successfully sold a name there?

I hear a lot of people using www.Flippa.com but I am not too familiar with the website. You can search the forums. There is a lot of discussion about website domains for sale or for purchase.

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.

    sedo.com
    afternic.com
    godaddy auctions
    flippa

They are all passive ways to list a domain and selling them passively can take some time. Going after targeted buyers and making an email proposal is a quicker way to sell them.

Yes, they can in Complete Sites for Sale. Don't see too many being offered there, but you can.

I don't agree that Flippa is best for domains. Maybe most popular for websites, but not domains.

Godaddy.com or Flippa.com are probably your best bets. Best of luck.

Flippa is a good site to sell domains.
You need to do some sales pitch to get good results.

Well, I respect Suzanne of course, but if you have a REALLY GOOD domain that is brandable, submit it to Brand Bucket.

Avoid Domain forums like DNForum. Everyone is scraping for pennies there and a lot of buyers will post requests and not make a decision for MONTHS!

Suzanne is absolutely right that Flippa is piss poor for selling domains. Don't try to sell there.

Depends on the name there are other places and there are quite a few domain name forums if you are looking for a quicker sale (but at a lower price possibly).

Checked Domain Name Forum (dnforum.com). They charge $59 for a year to list domains for sale. The WF here charges $20 each time.

Definetly SEDO has been the best selling platform ive ever used. Ive sold 7 domains over there, with no fraud, payment problems. Obviously Ive also used forums as a complement to promote those domains.

Two of the best sites I recommend for people interested in buying or selling domain names are AfterNIC and Great Domains.

Believe it or not, a lot of people also sell domain names on eBay. Just use the "reserve" feature to specify a minimum winning bid, but start bidding really low and see what happens. Be realistic, though. Most domains sell in the range of a few hundred or lower, though a very small few of them can sell for astronomical numbers. Try this link to see some of the almost 4,000 domain names for sale on eBay as I write this answer: Home / Buy / Computers & Networking / Other Hardware & Services / Domain Names

When you do get a buyer lined up, I do strongly encourage you to use the services of Escrow.com to ensure that neither party gets ripped off. Once you change the ownership of a domain record, there's no going back...

    Hope that helps you out!

ofcourse you call sell domain in forum like Warrior Forum, Digital Point, Web Hosting Talk and so on. But if your domain giving real high value , then it better to go with flippa and sedo where lot of domain hunter there which they able to bid for higher price if they think that domain is value to them.

If you want to sell a low or even medium value domain, it's best not to use flippa since the lisiting fee is 29$ and a minimum of 10$ succes fee. For high end premium domains i would list it there though since it will much more exposure and bids then other places.

You'll find much success with Flippa. So, give it a try. Or you can go to Digital Point forums. They have an active forum there for buying and selling domain names.

I don't think flippa is the best place for domains. I would say afternic and sedo if your domain really have value and looking for end user price. Or domainer forums like namepros, dnforum or even dp if you are looking for quick sale with reseller price.
