Hello all,

I've been seeing a lot of posts recently (and getting probably as many questions) about traffic sources and ad networks etc. Where to go for solo ads, media buys and so on.

    Anyone had any luck doing solo ad swaps? I build my lists only through my blogs but am thinking of adding another source. Are solo ad swaps safe?

      It would be nice if those sources were updated with new list owners now and again.

        I second that. But I think they are being updated, only problem is it's so hard to find good trustworthy people to do this kind of business with. You'll find a new shiny toy but they look as though they die out quick. Tried and true sticks around.

      Yes, I and many others have ad great success with Solo Ads, however I believe it's a mixed review on Ad Swaps. They are two different ways of building your list (there are a number of them) and produce different results.

      As far as them being safe, it will depend on who you're dealing with. Go with some trusted people who have a great track record and you'll be fine.

    Ad swaps, sell solo and buy solo mailings - Safe-Swaps is also good for solo ads .

    Solo ads is one of the best way you can drive traffic.

    It would be good if you have a good sales funnel as you can make a return on your solo ads

    Go with media buys - you can actually see the traffic source

    I would be careful with these "solo swaps" and "solo ads" a lot of automation a lot of fake emails.

    Not pointing any fingers at all - It's just me personally I like to see my banner or text ad on the source

    If you have the money I strongly recommend real time bidding however most platforms require a minimum deposit of $500 / $1000

    These are for access to millions of impressions daily on top websites

      There's ways to get these good media buys WITHOUT the hefty deposit. Though it requires more work on your end, but the ROI (Return On Investment in time AND money) is superb.

      I would be careful with these "solo swaps" and "solo ads" a lot of automation a lot of fake emails.
      Do your due diligence (homework, research) and work with good trusted people, and you should not have this issue.

    I've used Reed's site quite a bit (and learned a good amount on the blog), but that list... I got myself some testing to do!

    That's a killer compilation of advertising sources! Also, Safe-Swaps is definitely a great place to meet people and share ideas in the forum, as well as buy ads or do swaps. Just make sure you're doing your own tracking (as with any traffic source) and get to know the other list owner's first!
