Any wordpress themes with a prominent opt-in box?

I'm looking for something pretty much exactly like this (free or paid).

==> Amy Porterfield

So far I've managed to find just one (the Streamline theme) but it only has enough space for a line or two of text and no image area for my report either.

Basically, I need a prominent opt in with enough space to communicate incentives while at the same time, letting a bit of the blog visible so visitors don't think it's just a spammy squeeze page.

Any suggestions would be awesome.

You mean something like this? How To Make Money Online opt in at the top of the page?

Yeah, that's pretty much what I have in mind too.
      What theme is that?

    Mmmmm ....

That's very nice (apart from the pop-up, obviously, which strikes me as quite nonsensical in the circumstances, but maybe she's just currently split-testing that and will lose it quickly?). Have you contacted her? That really is nice. I wouldn't mind that, myself ...

It does look quite perfect doesn't it?
Didn't think to contact her but shooting her a message should be worthwhile. I wouldn't be surprised if it was developed or at the very least, heavily customized just for her.

        It really does.

So much better than 99+% of the horribly overdesigned, complicated, gratuitous stuff one sees, that marketers typically like and customers dislike.

(That other one above isn't too bad, I agree. But still, they're not really in the same league ...)

That's pretty nice. Might have to consider it if I can't find anything else. Are you aware of any special search terms I could use to look for more themes like this?

Would be nice to have a few options to choose from.

Hi, personally I would not dink around with themes that have opt in pages. I would just go get optimize press and call it a day.

With it you can build squeeze pages, landing pages or sales pages in anywhere from 5 min on up depending on how fast you are. Ok, sales page might take 2-3 hours after you write the copy 1st.

        Just Google Optimize press

Wow, thanks. That is a really cool tool. Just another sign of the value that is found throughout the Warrior Forum. Subscribing to this thread, and will contribute if I find a relevant answer.

Thanks Alex, I checked out his website and he charges a minimum of *cough* $2000 for his projects.

Looking for something a wee bit more affordable like a pre-made template I can just download and use.

Eew, that's a shame. He is obviously very good, though.

I also had a look at his site with some interest last night, when Alex kindly unearthed it, and was thinking how good some of the other stuff in his "portfolio" looks, too. (These things even sometimes - temporarily - make me feel that I might be willing to use Wordpress, "next time around", after all!). But I didn't notice the prices. :p

from looking at the source code the name of the theme is "Amy" Therefore, I would assume she had it developed for her.

As for the opt in, it is coded as a <div> tag and I am sure that you can find a coder to put that type of opt in box on any theme you choose

    The lightbox popup is Fancybox.

It looks like she uses infusionsoft for the feature box opt-in.

I don't think it would cost much for someone to customize the opt-in box to look the way you want it.

I guess I am spoiled because I know a little little bit of html and css. But you can easily edit, say your header file (if using Wordpress), add a div, lay it out, pop in your Aweber code and bewm.

The drop down is something I couldn't do. Can you add a field like that with Aweber? I'm not sure. So...to get it working just like hers would be more involved...but the layout is rather easy.

I've seen a lot of "guru" sites that use this type of optin as opposed to the standard, played out OptimizePress right side Squeeze optin template.

I am actually working on one now for two of my new sites.

Thanks, I checked it out but the focus of that product is something else entirely. The theme provided isn't a blogging theme so I won't be able to use it.

Yes, she had it custom made by the wp genius mentioned above. I might have to do something like that but I'm short on my budget really and I don't even have a theme to customize. The free ones aren't cutting it at all.

The streamline theme by studiopress has kind of what I need but again it needs some customization. Their support says that it's not 'terribly difficult' although I wonder what that would mean for a coding dunce like me.

The thing is I need a theme to put this up on as well. I just have about $80 fo this so I'm trying to avoid paying for a theme AND customization.

I'm pretty sure Aweber doesn't have the option for such a dropdown but I don't mind that as I don't need it.

As for the layout, yeah I'm a complete dunce at coding (for now). I could pick it up if I need to but I'd prefer to get to that as a last resort not to mention it would be really time consuming and delay my site launch significantly.

But I guess I'll have to get my hands dirty if I can't find any better solutions.

I have something similar, customized from Marketer's Delight with Thesis.

    See here.

It appears quite a bit different, but it's mostly just basic changes of colour.

That's very nice. I like the simplicity. It does look quite different from the default MD2.

How much did you pay for the customization?

E: Actually, nevermind. The Thesis framework alone is beyond my budget.

Did you design it yourself or have someone lay out MD2 in that way? I love it!

    You could try with OptinSkin

Jason Parker has been nesting forms in the header for a while if I am not mistaken. If I am right I bet he could point you to one a little more economical than $2000.

I can help you with designing this opt-in. You can provide me your own content for it and I don't need as much as $2000 (:

To be honest, it is a very easy task to do.

Also If you need we can customize any Genesis Child theme or
build custom Genesis theme for you, I have developers license with Genesis
    for themes.

So we can do something for you and you do not have to go to that 2K price point

Just edit a Wordpress theme and manually insert the code to the top of the theme?

    Thanks for all the feedback.

Mohsin, I did consider the generate theme but it didn't feel it would fit right for my niche.

Anyway, I settled on the Streamline theme. Learning to customize it myself at the moment. Going well so far!

Honestly, that top "thing" can be added to any decently coded two-column WP theme:
    - the optin box has two versions, which can be easily managed with simple if...else code in the template(s)
    - it's just a div inserted above the "split" in two columns of the layout

The rest is just colours, borders, margins, html+css and copy/pasting the aweber form
