INTERNET MARKETING

I had someone over at fiverr create an ebook cover for me but now all I have is a one dimensional picture of the cover.

How do I get it look like a book with the bindings?

Do you own Photoshop? If you do just use an action!

There are some free actions at PSD Covers. I'd recommend trying those out first and trying to solve your problem that way.

When you have ebook covers done on fiverr, you have to clarify if the cover image is going to be flat (2d) or 3d. Make sure you check the vendor's portfolio before you order.

Once you have accepted it, you have basically said to the seller that your happy with it. You should have discussed it with them before accepting

If you know how to use Photoshop, then you can easily use some action script to achieve the desired ebook effect. Otherwise, you will need someone with technical expertise to help you with that.

  Adding a bit of shade in PS on your 2D image should give you a 3D illusion ... although I'm not a PhotoShop specialist but I managed to Google the following resource:

  You could always go back to Fiverr and speak to the person who done your gig and ask if you could have some variations of what he done.
  No harm in asking but you have now also learned a lesson.

In the future you might consider GFX writer from Big Mike at Incansoft. GFX Writer | Create headers, ebook and report covers, graphic software boxes; low cost alternative to PhotoShop... I think it's usually around 20.00 - does all the heavy lifting and several times a year they run a great special. I've been using it for over a year now and it is EASY.
