Email Marketing - Where to begin?

I am new to the forum so my apologies if this information is lurking around some where else on the forum.

I sell a digital product, I have been building my list for a while now using Aweber but have not really figured out how to use the list to best advantage (read make more sales LOL)

At a time the product was selling very well but then was killed by torrents. Now it sells hear in there usually to buyers from france.

Any suggestions would be awesome.

      That's a good recommendation but I found that there isn't a solid strategy for replicating your efforts over time. It's a good course and the stuff on empathy mapping, avatar creation is gold. I think the OP needs something that can give them a 1-2-3 strategy for looking after the people on his/her list whilst making some money over the long term--a continuous loop if you will.

      May I suggest this excellent blog post by Steve Scott; he's gone to great lengths to show how it should be done and best of all its FREE.

      And Drew before you let me walk the plank I say what I say because having being subscribed to AC's list I don't see the ARM principles playing out (over time). This leads me to believe that even Andre suffers from the problem of being consistent with looking after his list.

      Hi, yes you can link so long as it's not an aff link, that needs to go in your sig.

      And you are right. Andre's Auto responder madness is insane good. His boot camp launches on Thursday and I am just waiting.

      Yup, he may be the best email sequence CW in the biz.

      One of the resources Ive found very helpful has been the mailchimp blog. They've got a great article on subject lines and how those subject lines can significantly juice your open rates.

        Thanks for all the info.

        I have been building the list for a while now I just haven't been using it to make any sales.

        Would it be a good idea to send out an email and dump and users who didn't open it, trimming my list down to more qualified openers?

    Anyways, do start with a small client base first... make sure to send only relevant offers or else they'll have to ignore you. Send some of your free products to build your brand - and don't forget to tease them.

    I agree 1000% about list building being the best model for making a long term income online. There's a reason so many swear by it for their income.

    I also agree with the recommendation for the Autoresponder Madness course. Hands down the best course I've ever gone through.

    Success with list building is all about providing 90% value and 10% promos to your list. Built the trust and you build a business.
