The only concern is how you stand out from the rest of them...

ie shorter turnover time? lower price? free editing?

I'll speak from the perspective of running a 6 figure business consulting company that specializes in internet marketing, digital media and technology related business solutions.

Design is a time intensive craft. This in and of itself will limit your earning potential due to there only being so many "billable" hours in a day. People are also not willing to pay as much as most designers deserve due to the ease of outsourcing to other countries via Freelancer, Elancer, etc.

I am guilty of this myself. I get quality banners done for $15, and sites for $150-$300 (as an example).

Your goal should be to do 2 things:

1. Build up a team of outsourcers so you can expand and grow without you having to work yourself silly.

2. Partner with an SEO/SEM?Social Media firm who can upsell your clients on marketing and business services where you can take a cut.
