Banner Ads

I want to promote banner ads I don't hear much about people doing this do people make money with banner advertising. I need help on this.

    Banner ads can be great if you're running with a decent offer and you know where to go to get quality traffic at a decent price. One way to do this is to search lesser known sites that still have decent popularity (use alexa.com to get an idea of this)

    Some webmasters do not know how to monetize their sites properly and you can reach out and contact them and offer them a profit share or straight paid banner advertising.

      The problem with banner advertising is that it brings ad viewers to another landing page, which is very disruptive to their experience.

      That is why the industry standard for CTR rate is less than 0.1% today. Advertisers will also lose conversions if they are taken away from the original site.

      Now, if banners can capture sales leads right from the ad itself, it is a different story. This can be done with interactive rich media banner ads.

        0.01%?!

        I never get less than 0.3% - if your CTR is that low you need to open photoshop back up and work better on the banner

        Unless its adult traffic - thats a different story

          Oops! my bad. The industry average for CTR is actually about 0.1%, not 0.01%. I am editing my original post

    In order to make money out of banner advertising, you will need to find offers out there.

    First find a blog that has many ads, and contact one of the companies there.

    Off them reasonable offer and wait to see their response!

    and i earn lot of customers from google adwords display and remarketing campaign.
    As long your ads reach the right target market at the right time, you going to earn money from that.

      Banner advertising is all about the numbers. Personally i would never use banner advertising for one of my blogs. It works good with sales pages and even better with CPA offers.

      Finding the websites that will give you the right price with the right traffic is a really difficult task. If you find one, keep it to yourself.

      Once you have one you need to be testing at least three different banners to see which one generates the most click throughs and converts the highest.

      As i said it is all about the numbers, here is a formula for you to work out the maximum you should pay per 1000 impressions:

      (offer payout) X (minimal CTR) X (minimal conversion rate) X
      (1000)

      Example: Say we have an offer that pays us $27 per conversion, the minimal CTR is 0.5%, and minimal conversion is 1%

      27 x 0.005 x 0.01 x 1000 = $1.35

      So we should pay no more than $1.35 per 1000 Impressions.

        Just one thing to mention - in this example you're breaking even so you need to get your banner for less than $1.35 per 1,000 impressions to make a profit.
