Simple product creation steps

So many newbies come to the WF and want to know how to create a product of their own.

I will ask you the same question that I asked my daughter: "What do you know that other people would like to know?"

Everyone has knowledge that others would pay to have. Things you might think that "no one would pay to learn, because everyone knows that" - you are very wrong!

Sit down and think about 5 things you know how to do and you know how to do pretty well - gardening, living on a budget, a particular craft, a hobby, etc.

Then do some keyword research and see if anyone is looking for what you know!

Then you can develop the product and market it.

This is a very simplified version, of course; and as you get more experienced, you can fine-tune the process. There are numerous e-books and WSOs about product creation that can give you more details.

But it really is a simple. (Not easy, but simple.) AND once you do it once, you will "get it."

That first sale is the best.

Scanning forums in your niche is a great place to start as well. If someone is asking a question about something, then you know that you should probably be including some info about whatever they asked about.

Shay is right, there are tons of ebooks that teach you how to create your own products, and a lot of them are great but it really boils down to finding a problem people are having and helping them solve it. Take what you know and turn it into something. Do some forum research and some keyword research and make a product that is unique to you. Having a unique product with your name on it goes a long way to making other sales such as back end affiliate sales, etc.

If you would like to learn, via video instruction, a very easy method to create your own niche products by a master of product creation and copywriting, go check out the link in my sig while it is only 7 bucks. This is the method I use and it rocks.

My favorite way to make a product is find the best seller, make a better product, and hire someone to make better graphics. You should be instant competition.

My site was designed by ClickCovers - Your Art Factory for a little over a hundred bucks. I gave some input and was active in the design, but he did a killer job on the graphics. He's doing another for me as we speak

The old addage of "Don't reinvent the wheel" holds true. Find what works and emulate it. Improve it if you can or just become a better marketer.

Product Factory was a great experience for me - kept me accountable to producing my product with group support, helpful weekly webinars, and some publicity at the end. I drafted my ebooks and eventually got them published as regular books.

Well start by choosing a niche that you like and then get started writing... And if you are stuck on that maybe you can outsource it, or, if you want to save some money, find some resale rights books or, even better, private label rights...

As I am a writer I find it very easy to create products but I know that isn't true for everyone else...

Don't forget to actually do something with it once you have it created too! I have multiple products i have created but then never did anything with them. Once the ball is rolling keep it moving. I have entrepreneurial and product creation ADD. (There is always a bigger and better idea) ha ha.

Finish one product get it going before moving on.

I am getting ready to launch these products soon which have nothing to do with IM.

And I should have my first CB product up and running by the end of the week. Yahoooo!

Thanks Nathan and the other people who gave the great advice. Like I said I am just getting going after many years of buying the latest and greatest product only confusing myself. I really find it hard to stay focused with all the product launches and stuff, really confuses things, but thanks once again.
