It might work, but probably only if your niche is in the same niche with the proper demographic audience from the person doing the retweeting.

I have a Twitter account of 40,000+ followers, and I use it less and less for marketing because the truth is that a smaller account where people interact is the way most people prefer to interact with Twitter. I really seem to just use it as my personal broadcast channel on the internet, and to make backlinks to new sites and content that I make to get it indexed quickly.

If you do try the service I recommend having an expert on your niche be the one who retweets your message, and who has a strong relationship with their follower base instead of being a spammy account...

WOW!! You have a lot of followers their. Just a thought, are those genuine one's or you bought them from someone?

I also should mention that I'm not saying people aren't successfully marketing on Twitter - I'm sure they are - I'm just saying that it is more about community than volume when it comes to interacting on Twitter. Hope this helps,

I personally buy retweet service and it drive so much traffic.. For me it's worth the investment. You can go to twitterbacklinks.com and you will see a case study where the owner explain quite well the importance of buying retweets. Last thing, i've tried a lot of retweets service and the best so far is speedyretweet.com. They've actually got a video on their homepage where their showing their services, all come with proof and they seemed to be the cheapest on the market..
    Hope it help..

I don't think that you should buy Twitter followers because it is a waste of time and money.

I tried to use Twitter to build my business and get more traffic but I found it to be useless. This is my own point of view.

The only time that Twitter can be effective is when you use their pay per click platform or get back links to your website or sub-sites.

It's getting more difficult to get traffic from twitter. Kind of a good thing really, because it now forces tweeters to have more of a community-like atmosphere in twitter.

But don't take it too far with the retweeting service. If you get a few retweets here and there, that should be sufficient for you to get your posts to the "Top" results, if this happens for many posts.

But having a ton of tweets with 30-40 retweets is grounds for suspicion.

ReTweets can improve your reach manifold. We have seen how ReTweeting can generate more ReTweets for your own content. It is also the foundation for going viral.

Let's say you have 100 followers on Twitter and you tweet a link to your new blog post. If one of your followers with 5K followers ReTweets your post, it gets posted to the newsfeed of all their 5K followers. And if one of those users with 10K followers ReTweets it again, your link gets delivered to another 10K users. You get the picture. This is how content goes viral on social media.

I don´t know. I played in Twitter a lot at some point, but right now I only use it with the feed of my sites.

My take is... there are people and there are robots, and people know when they are dealing with one or the other.

Robot re-tweets will give you back-links, but not real eyeballs.

To encourage real people to retweet and eventually go to your site, you need long term active participation in the community.

But, I never bought retweets, so I have no stats one way or another.

You have to put a lot of effort in for this to work. It wont just 'go viral' but if you invest the time then it can go very well indeed :-)
