Who else uses Clipboard managers, which ones? Any interest in Tutorials on setting up custom macros?

Hey Guys,

I have been doing a bit of internet marketing and SEO work for a while. One tool I have used to great effect is a clipboard manager.

I wanted to know if there would be some interest in tutorial materials (Videos) that explain what clipboard managers could be used for and how to customize one to do special tasks to speed up your every day activities?

If you don't know what a clipboard manager is, basically it is a way of making it so you can use copy and paste shortcuts (Control + C, Control + V) with a lot of extended functionality. So for instance, I can hit a set of keys and pull up the last 10 things I copied.

But I also have setup custom macros, so for instance:

* I have a easy shortcut to the <a href... and [url=... version of my sites and sub-pages with their preferred anchor text, so I don't have to re-type them all the time when writing articles etc.

* Save my passwords to sites (not secure, but I have a bunch of passwords I don't really care about)

* Have shortcuts for my common blocks of text such as email closings/contact information/signature

* Strip formatting when inserting into wysiwyg editors instead of copying and pasting first in notepad.

* I also can highlight any word anywhere (IE, FireFox, MS Word, NotePad, anywhere) and with one keyboard shortcut it opens my web browser (or adds a new tab) and either:
- Search Google
- Search for Synonums at Thesaurus.com
- Search Amazon
- Get and audio with the correct pronunciation of that word spoken by a real person (using a free online website)
- OR pretty much search any website I want (after I setup the macro)

* I have also set-up a bunch of other macros such as a custom time stamp I can put into anything at the touch of a button like this:

The possibilities are limitless.

I have also setup mine so that via Dropbox I can share my macro settings across all of my (windows) computers.

Anyway. Maybe this is something everyone already knows about. If so let me know what clipboard managers you use, I'd like to know what the "Industry Standard" is.

If you don't use a clipboard manager, or you do but don't know how to do some of those tasks and they sound like they would be helpful to you, please let me know that too.

If there is demand I was thinking of making a series of videos and also perhaps taking requests for creating customization scripts that will make easy macros that people have been desperate for but didn't know how to do.

By the way, the Clipboard Manager I use is called ARS Clips (windows only)

It is free and you can get it at http://www.joejoesoft.com/vcms/97/ (not affiliate, not my site... it is totally free, but if you use it I urge you to donate).

I don't use Mac regularly so I am not sure what a common Mac clip board manager is, that is why I am hoping people can give me some ideas of what they already use so my tutorials can be used for both Mac or Windows users
