Seeking Opinions on WSO's & Internet Products (Do they work?)

I see informational products offered on the internet as well WSO's here on the Warrior Forum. My main question is, has there ever been anyone on here that has made bonnafide and provable money from any informational products sold on the net or WSO's offered on this forum?

I read the "reviews" of people who received "review copies" of some products, but I consider many to be more a critique of the material itself, and not necessarily a review based that the reviewer took the knowledge, put it to use, and made money.

In this review section, I would recommend that if people post their reviews and ratings, some of the of the most important and necessary criteria should be:
  • Did you put it (the WSO or informational product) to use?
  • Did you make any money from it?
Like anyone else, I do research prior to purchasing money making opportunity information products or courses. However, a very high amount of products seem to require a person who has knowledge of website building, SEO, etc, this is not typical of the average Joe (most of us looking for real opportunities).

I, for one, am tired of paying out money on informational products that lose you in an abyss of overwhelming information that never result in profits. Many products seem to create a system where you go in and never come out. The scheme of it is, if it can't be proven, the creator of the product made the money, but the buyer ended up in an endless maze of information they can do nothing with. (Pretty smart for the person who created the product).

How much are things actually tested by the product creator? How much money was actually made by them? And for what period of time?

It seems that products are created to extract money from you (both products and subscriptions) and people do not question things. It seems that the information is being sold moreso than a bonafide product that has proven earnings, with legitimate testimonials to back it up. We all know that testimonials can be easily manufactured, they are almost never challenged or verified.

What I'd really like to know is, have you ever truly made money with informational product offers or WSO offers?? As well, product creators should be required to show that their product has resulted in proven, long term profits. If a person is going to leave a review, they should be able to prove they have working knowledge of the product they are commenting on, not be affiliated with it, and have made actual long term profits from it.

I appreciate any and all responses.

Lori

The problem is that 99% of the make money products are "tactics" and "techniques" as oppose to a business building blueprint/strategy/plan etc. That is each one of them is a very small piece of the big puzzle that can (if it is any good) be used as part of your overall marketing activity but on their own are not a viable make money online opportunity if that makes sense.

      Hi Lori,

Yes I've made money from some of the products I've purchased from the warriors forum.

The trick to making money is just doing it. You have to take action. There is no magic red button (well except at Staples).

Most people are looking for a million dollar technique that will instantly bring them the gratfication they desire with no action required.

No one can guarantee anyone success with an informational product that just takes up space on a hard drive.

Your success does not depend upon how many good WSO's or informational products you purchase. But on the action you take to use the product or technique you have purchased.

      Best Regards,

      Jim

Read the sales page carefully, and see if it´s about something you are interested in learning and most importantly, something you are willing to put into action or something that will help your current internet marketing efforts.
Also, if the sales page is too vague or promises you´ll make thousands of dollars with little work or too quick, I wouldn´t get it either.
Most WSO´s I got aren´t that great but even if you get just one good tip out of it it´s usually worth the price.

Do your research before buying a WSO. Look hard through every single post. don't just fall for a good sales page. Above is right: a lot of times wsos leave a number of details out, then try to hit you with the OTO or upsell. Even then, they leave out a lot of pieces to building a real business online. The best thing you can do is look around the forum and start laying foundations for excellent business practices, decide which way you want to go, and execute. Google is full of useful information as is the warrior forum.

    hope this helps,
    matt

disclaimer: not saying wsos are garbage or don't have use. Just look for the complete ones designed to build you a business.

It could take a while to test a product as you are suggesting.

In the meantime the WSO you are looking at could double in price or be old news.

I don't buy products that promise income or other unlikely claims. I buy products that I need for my business and that includes informational products, but NOT how to make a gazillion dollars online info products. Information that I can use such as a course on something I know little about and want to know more. I buy software and plugins and graphics, etc.

It's a better approach to actually decide what kind of business you want and then to buy only products to help you make that happen. You'll piss away a lot of money looking for blueprints and magic buttons.

Some people reported great results from my Cash in on LinkedIn eBook. He infact set up a new service managing local businesses LinkedIn accounts for them.

I've bought a few over the years and certainly got some good tips. One of them put me in touch with a certain affiliate program that has made me a few thousand dollars, so it was a great return on investment, although the information in the eBook itself wasn't that useful.

Many WSO's contain just one nugget of information that makes them worth the purchase price. It is relatively risk free buying a WSO since there is usually a generous refund policy.

Most reviews are from people who have just downloaded the product - that's the nature of our collective short attention span.

Most of the systems sold as WSOs are workable, if you're prepared to actually make them work.

But the quick answer to your question of has anyone made any money with WSOs is yes. I certainly have. If you decide to become a War Room member, you can download the proof as I've put it in that section of the forum.

With the quantity of WSOs out there it's almost statistically impossible for others not to have made money with WSOs. Always assuming that was the purpose of buying them in the first place - some are plugins and software that doesn't directly impact profit but could be a time saver or something else.

If you are looking into buying a wso that reveals magical code of unlimited cash generation or instant success, then they DON'T work!!

If you are looking into buying wso after wso to find that hidden gem (or to read and then be lazy by taking no actions), then again No! They dont work!

However, if you consider these as a way to learn new things, skills and new ideas and then make your own plan out of these then Yes! WSO's will more than likely work for you! Simple and straight as this.

WSO's are quite likely to "work" if ...

      (i) You never buy any that make any express or implicit income claims, and if ...

(ii) You never buy any that appear to be related to making your business Google-dependent or SEO-based, and if ...

(iii) You never buy any unless there are at least a couple of decent testimonials in the thread from well-known, respected Warriors (judge this carefully from their other posts and conversations - yes, there's real effort involved!) who have bought, paid for and used the product/service and commented on their results, and if ...

(iv) You really try hard to use them, to the exclusion of whatever else you're doing online, for a couple of months.

At least, that way, you have the deck stacked pretty firmly in your favor instead of against you.

Yes and No is the only straight answer to your question.

There are two types of WSO's
    • Pure information/tutorial and educational
    • Promises of income software & systems
The first ones are few and far between, but are normally worth every cent you pay for them.

As for the second ones!......well, Do you believe in fairies?

If so, then yes! they work like gangbusters and will make you rich.

However if you don't believe in fairies, then NO!

Too many people trawl the WSO section on a regular basis trying to find that easy money, or 'auto-pilot' income, otherwise known as push button systems, the rest of us describe them as shiny objects.

People that constantly look for easy systems are kind of similar to kids that stay awake all night on Christmas Eve hoping for a glimpse of Santa!

.....systems do not work! period, and if they did, they certainly would not be sold on the WF for such low prices, and the sooner people realise that the sooner they can move on and build a business.

With that said I have found some amazing WSO's that have offered tremendous value, products that are worth 50 times more than I've paid for them, but they are hidden amongst all the hype, and because people won't click on anything that doesn't tell them how much they will earn in however many days, then they will miss out on where the true value is.

....So, yes WSO's do work, systems do not, It is each of our responsibility to check out the validity of the seller, and reviewers as mentioned above, but more importantly it is each individuals responsibility to make things happen, and in this industry the only way that will happen is to learn how to do it, not follow a system, actually learn the whats, how's and why's of running an online business.

Knowledge is power when it comes to business, you have to want to learn, you have to understand there are no short cuts, and when you understand that, then you will learn to spot WSO's that offer you these teachings, and then the money will follow.

I'm releasing my first WSO in a few days, it will have,
    • No hype
    • No income Claims
    • No success story
    • No system
    • Just good information for a newbie to have
    Will it sell well?

Probably not! ........the hype mongers will outsell anything I put out, and thats the sad reality!
