New Youtube Channel about Bodybuilding (Traffic)

Hello everyone.

I recenetly signed up to warrior forum and seems like this is the best internet money making forum out there.

What I am making this thread about is advice on my new youtube channel I made a week or so back and I am making my first video today, the channel itself will be about bodybuilding.

I'll give advice, tips, workout routines, weight loss tips, bodybuilding diets etc, there are a few on there that have grown quite big, I was just wondering what is the best way for me to get my channel recognized FAST with a lot of subscribers, I know its going to take a while to do so but what can give me a headstart jump on the process.

Looking forward to the replies. Thanks a bunch in advance.

Deekay.

Humor. Humor is enough to make decent content shine. If you're funny, your videos have a higher chance of going viral.

Look at the hodge twins, their content is average at best and now it's getting old but they're hilarious and their following is loyal because of it. Create a tag line and identity for yourself.

Omar Isuf is another guy to look up to as he shot through the roof quite recently after upgrading his delivery.

POG is an interesting case study as well. I've noticed it helps to work with at least one other person on a youtube channel (in the fitness market that is). Subscribers are attracted to interaction more than information.

That leads me to my next thought. The successful fitness channels are more entertaining than informative. There are limitless sources of information that anyone can google so you shouldn't try to differnentiate yourself with content alone. If you want viral videos, you have to provide entertainment value.

Just don't end up like Low Carb Cory lol.

Thank you so much for the response mate. Yes, hodge twins are my idols. But to make something funny like them I would need to have a friend with me, and my friends a lazy bum haha. I'm going to try to make it funny but I really honestly have no clue, it sucks. Im so motivated to this though.

If you can show that you can get real results with real proof, you will be a step ahead of 90% of your competitors.

That will help your videos get spread virally.

If you have a budget, you should strongly consider sending paid traffic to your videos. You can do this within youtube, itself. They will gladly take your money to promote your videos.

Yes, I have solid ways to gain muscle, I may not look big myself but im a very strong individual using techniques of many, before I started working out I researched for weeks and even months reading and reading everything so Im fully knowledged in the subject and I hope to even open up my own website on this niche and a forum with it My goal.

One question, do you know if thats the best method or is there another method to attract traffic?

      Thanks.

Traffic generation is a pretty big subject on its own. I don't know much but it would be worthwhile to search for youtube traffic methods on the site. There are so many different options I hear about, it would take you a while to sift through it all.

From there, zone in on some of the active promotion methods. Producing great content is fine but sitting and hoping you get noticed is a very passive method of promotion, it might take you a hundred videos to get noticed that way.

If you managed to catch the Florida Fitness Twins before they cried and quit, they actually gained their first 1k subscribers very fast and they did it by networking with the big channels through hilarious parody videos of them.

Shame they left, they were pretty cool.

Mike Chang spends hundreds of thousands promoting his content on every facet of the internet. The guy is everywhere.

The kind of content he provides can be found on any average channel, the reason he's blown up is his marketing budget.

Just go to the forum at bodybuilding.com and make a video answering questions you find over there. Make the videos short and sweet and you could shoot at least 5 videos in half an hour

Elliot Hulse. Look him up on Youtube.

When you see his videos, take a look at his comments and his thumbs ups... and from that you'll realize how important it is just to be yourself.

Besides that, Elliot is a huge success and has a HUGE following not only because he's himself, but he also reveals proof (he's in great shape as evidenced in the videos), he cares greatly about his subscribers (as evidenced by his "Yo Elliot" channel where each of his videos is him answering questions from his subscribers), and his tips and advice are certainly things you're not used to seeing (like jumping up and down and screaming to the top of your lungs... to release muscular tension )!

I'm subscribed to many of the popular (non-fitness) channels on Youtube (CTxFC, Shaytards, BFvsGF, etc.), and I can tell you from being a subscriber of those channels, the one thing that they all do similar is respect their subscribers.

Don't go nuts with trying to sell stuff and be genuine about wanting to help people get in shape... and have something very UNIQUE about your channel.

Besides that, I've noticed that if you do collaborations with other popular Youtubers, or if you get mentioned in their videos, that can also catapult your subscriber rate and popularity pretty quickly.

One other word of advice: Use Reddit and Pinterest to build followings for your videos. Youtube recently put a video on its homepage solely because that video was trending on Reddit. And no, that video was not in response to cookies on my browser.

I pulled up Youtube on two different computers (without signing in) with two different IP's in order to cross check and make sure it was the real deal.
