What Is The Best Affiliate Product That Sells Fast Online In India and Malaysia?

Hello Fellow Warriors,

New Warrior here in need of help.

I need help in figuring out what affiliate product(s) in ClickBank or other affiliate market place that sells fast online in India and Malaysia.

I have ran some campaigns targeting the India and Malaysia traffic, but I made no sales. In these campaigns I used clickbank products. My clickbank analytic dashboard shows; in one campaign I generated 20,000+ visitors, another 16,000+ another 10,000+ real visitors to my affiliate links, but made no sales.

My Google analytic dashboard shows that this visitors spent a reasonable time in my page and my conversion rate for clicking on the link is very good more than 90% of my visitors did click on the product links, but no sales.

I feel that probably the products I promoted are not of interest within the India and Malaysia demography.

Please, can any one recommends a product I can promote in India? My traffic source currently is India and Malaysia.

Thanks for your help.

Sincerely,
Your Fellow Warrior In Need of Help.

Have you tried "universal" products like dating or health?

What is popular where you are? That might be the easy solution. What are people buying, talking about, and interested in. Then find a product to promote that matches those interests.

If 90% are clicking on your links, then there is obviously interest in the product. There is some other reason why they are not buying. Are you sure you are getting credit for referrals?

Is it possible your stats are set up wrong? 90% seems like an exceptionally high number, and virtually impossible to fathom with zero resulting sales given your volume of traffic.

Thanks for the idea of universal products.

First, I live in the United States, so it hard for me to know hot products within the India and Malaysia demography, except checking online reviews.

Second, I am sure my stats are correct because affiliate link click counts will not show up in my ClickBank account if visitors didn't click on them.

Thirdly, am asking about products for the India and Malaysia market because currently am generation huge traffic from those countries.

I've read some blogs and it showed that DIGITAL and WATCHES are leading the affiliates product in India. For Malaysia, I have read none. Hope this will help.

I don't want to disappoint you but to make it short, you will have a pretty tough time trying to convert that traffic into buyers. E-commerce is at the lowest possible levels in those countries, and it is virtually impossible you will convert a fair percent of them into buyers. Plus one more thing, from your stats it seems like you are directly throwing visitors on your affiliate link without any pre-selling. I mean in your compaigns, visitors are taken to the affiliate link directly without giving them any review or such information. Is that the case? If it is, then I highly doubt you will even convert any traffic at all.

      Thanks dukegman for those observation.

Two of my campaigns, I send the visitors directly to the sales page of the products and these are very actractive and informative sales page.

The other campaign, I send visitors first to a product review page and then to the vendor's sales page.

So, if sending the visitors directly to the product's sales page will not produce sale, what is the best method to use? Thx.

There are so many things that could be going on here. I guess I'd start with the traffic source.

Keywords, ads, ad headline, ad copy, demographics, the product, traffic source, are they real people or bots.

Start at the traffic source and work your way back. 46,000 clicks is a lot. Why are people clicking the links? (unless they are bots) What are they thinking when they click the link? Where is the link located? What is the person doing on that web page at that time? Are they looking for a solution?

Is it a display or text ad on a scammy Indian website on a second tier PPC network where bots are just hammering your links to generate income for the website owner? I mean...that's what I would guess based on the limited information I have.

I can think of many reasons, but off hand this are some.

      Demographics?
      - those ppl u targeted, do they have credit cards to buy online? Or are they kids or low income group which have low spending power.

      Links working?
      - Sometime links malfunction for wadever reasons, maybe is the redirect?
But u have hits to ur affiliate links, so probably this is not the problem.

      Browser?
      - What browser is best to load the page. and what browser do that country uses in majority.?
If they generally use IE and the product site is best viewed in FF or chrome then their page will not load properly and thus they cant view the offer or they can view but they cant complete the transaction even if they wanted to.

      Site error?
      - Contact the product owner and ask him if there is a problem.
For example is his buy button working properly. etc.

      Language barrier?
      - For example, if u target india, is your page in tamil?
      - If its in malaysia, is it in malay? or at least an option to change the language.
Its like targeting china but not having an option to change to chinese.
And they might be pain stakingly trying to translate word by word, sentence by sentence thus the long stay on your site.

      Or country's regulations?
      - Im not an expert in this, but for example i know from experience, singapore's MAS which regulates the financial sector do not allow local credit cards to fund betting sites or casino sites or sports betting bookmakers. etc.
      - So it could be some regulation that they cant use certain methods to buy your product.

Or it could be that the product is not allowed to be sold there.
For example, if u use markethealth b4, there is a list of countries that u can promote to and countries that are banned for each product.

      Thats all for now.
      hope it helps.
Just some off hand i can think of. May not necessarily be it.

I do agree to a certain extend.

Like the saying goes, a good sales man can sell ice cream on a cold day and ice to eskimos. Basically u can sell sh*t..

But having said that, its good to know and make ur job easier and have better ROI by including factors like good offers to begin with. It will make ur job easier.

What i know is that in India, watches sell well.
Gold sell well. Yellow gold that is. And to be specific, gold jewelery.

What's the price point of the thing(s) you're selling? I wouldn't imagine that most customers in India or Malaysia have a lot of excess cash lying around. Sure, there are some rich folks there, just like anywhere. But overall you're dealing with a much poorer population than anywhere in the States.

    Samuel,

One mistake MANY make is misrepresenting the product. Getting traffic is EASY! Traffic is BAD! I keep saying such things, and people just ignore me. You DON'T want traffic! You want VISITORS that hopefully you can convert to prospects or customers. If you advertise the products right, or your site right, you might get less traffic but MORE of them will be visitors.

BTW PPC to the affiliate site tells you NOTHING! If that were to your site and THEN you had a sale(They were qualified and went to get you a sale and bought), or more clicks(they were qualified and became a VISITOR), you could adjust accordingly. If they went to your site, and had NO other action, you only got worthless traffic and likely have something wrong with the referring to your site. Again, you DON'T want traffic!

HECK, you want traffic? I could probably send you a couple hundred thousand "hops" or "hits" TODAY! Maybe I should create a traffic site! Traffic is EASY! Too bad it is really pretty worthless.

hey there steve, i do agree with you.
But he did say that they stayed on his page for considerably long.
So it is not totally trash traffic.
If you have millions of hits but all leave ur page in seconds then yes that is trash.
But if millions are staying on your page for 1-5 mins at least, then it does make u scratch your head thinking what could be wrong.
That i belief is his situation.

        The only question is:

WHY, if you are in the U.S., are you trying to sell to India and Malaysia???

You live in the country the rest of the world targets for sales - and you are aiming at countries where payment problems and low income are hard to overcome.

What is the point of doing that? It makes no sense to me.

    Hello Samuel,

First of all, I like the reference from Newbieee that you can sell ice cream on a cold day! That's true! I can sell heaters in the middle of summer. How? Find a starving crowd that wants it ( ex. eBay and Amazon sellers stocking up their inventory for the cold Christmas season).

Samuel, if you are receiving lots of clicks and no conversions than the answer is the Clickbank product, my friend. You MUST change the product. Trust me.

This is what you need to do:

    - Go to Quantcast.com. Paste the website of the Clickbank product into the search field and click "Search".
    - Next, click "Demographics" or "Audience" to discover the age, income level, education, race and sex of your target group. For example, if the demographics say that your target group are Caucasian women between 35 and 50 making 80K with a Master's Degree, then you definitely need to find out where this group hangs out and place your offer in front of them.

How do you find out where your target group congregate on the internet? Here is where your brain and a little research comes into play.

Find out their passions, their likes, their favorite movies, their favorite TV shows, their music, etc.

Next, join their forums, use PPV to pop over on their websites, purchase banner ads on their websites or ppc on targeted keywords.

There are a number of products that do well with international traffic. Old British colonies such as Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, South Africa, Nigeria, Tobago, Jamaica, Belize, etc.- all have a huge population of English speaking citizens.

Physical products / offers such as penny auctions, brand name clothing, electronics, jewelry will convert much higher than digital products.

The only digital products that I would recommend would be relationships or career development.

But you must do your research and test and track.

Testing and Tracking...these are the tools for success!

I run a large dating affiliate program, I can tell you without a doubt that there is no real way to make money off Indian traffic. I lot of people could retire if you would. You might be able to find a sale here and there but the payouts are going to be very low. I lot of larger sites will actually just redirect Indian traffic as to not waste bandwidth costs.

Have you considering your price point? $47 is more expensive to an Indian than to an American. Buying a $47 ebook for an India is like an American buying an Ebook for $500. Unless you are willing to price your products with price tags that are absurd for the US market, I'd recommend you to give up on those markets and focus on the higher-spending and more lucrative markets.

    Just some food for thought.

Exactly what I was about to mention. But unless you plan to live in India, IMHO, please look elsewhere.

There are PLENTY of ways to earn online without wasting a lot of time better spent. For me, that means kindle .

      All the best

I dun know about the Indian market but for Malaysia I can tell you that only a very small percentage shop online. Even if they did, they will shop on local ( Malaysian ) online stores and pay in RM ( Malaysian Ringgit ) thru bank deposits. Most of them do not have Paypal let alone credit cards. Unless you are a local vendor and accepts direct bank deposits, I can assure you your sales will be next to zero... Hopes this insight helps...
