Do you use a professional microphone?

INTERNET MARKETING

I lost the USB port to my Logitch G930 headset and can't seem to find it after a week of searching.

So I have been trying to figure out what a good microphone would be that I could listen through and talk at the same time.

If anyone can suggest that would be great!

First a microphone will only pick up sound. So you might be looking for some kind of headphone microphone combination which if your just using for video chat functions, skype ect is fine. if your using it to record sound that needs good quality, such as a podcast or voice over for a sales video then you would want to go with a good USB microphone at minimum. There is a company called BLUE you can search BLUE Microphones on google or amazon and find a good quality USB mic, there are many other brands that are just as good.

How bout try earpods with remote and mic from Apple? audio quality is so superior and the improved remote has many uses.

I use a Plantronics Wireless headset - it was about $80 through WalMart.com and it does a great job for me. But it really depends on what you'll be doing. I create a lot of screen capture time videos so it's a good fit for me.

  I recently got a Trust 16639 headset/mic combo for less than £5. I've used a separate Trust mic for about 12 years and it's never failed and the sound quality is excellent. I wanted to get a combo so figured I'd try Trust again and I wasn't disappointed - the sound quality for both the headphones and the mic is superb

  I've got the Blue Yeti Pro. It's really good quality for a USB Mic, but then again, you'd expect that for over $200...
  
  I'll probably get around to using it for IM at some point or another. It's used exclusively for music at the moment.

I use and recommend the Audio Technia AT-2020 USB microphone.

I don't use my mic often, so I just go with the lowest possible price that works. As long as it has voice range recording capability, I'm cool with it.

snowball mic works really well, I used it when I made commentaries
its around $100 I believe, but its really reliable and a good long-term investment.

I HIGHLY recommend the Samson GoMic.

It's a teeny tiny, super cheap ($40 on amazon) condenser mic that clips onto stuff and produces some seriously high quality audio. I even use it to record music:

Only caveat is you'll need a pop filter ($10 on azon). But you'll need one of those regardless of the mic you choose...

I use the AT2020 USB Cardioid Condenser Microphone. I just plug it in to my laptop's USB port and I'm ready to "Rock and Roll".

I would also recommend a Pop Filter to reduce the popping sounds and air blown toward your mic as you are speaking.

I just ordered a refurbished Logitech mic/headphone set on eBay for $8, shipping included! I don't expect it to be spectacular, but I only need it for occasional chatting on Skype and the mic in my computer works anyway.
